I think Erik's suggestion of crossing out the 'Costa Maya' and writing in 'Grand Cayman' on the t-shirts with a sharpie would actually be really cute. Maybe someone could even change the logo so it looked like that. I mean, an 'edited' cruise should have an 'edited' logo.

Oh that's funny, too! Love it!

.....I mean I have a plan, a strategy! How can a control freak like me put something so serious in someone else's control?? ...

Yea...good luck with that!! :lmao: I know what the answer is for ME! Heck. I'm struggling with having my DBF log into Southwest to preboard the three of us on October 3!

I lifted this from a TA newsletter today:

September 24, 2008 - Newly Announced, 3-Night Sailing of the Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line® is celebrating the Disney Magic®'s early exit from a planned September dry dock with today's addition of a special, three-night sailing to begin on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. The previously scheduled, 3-week dry dock has been shortened by 3 days, thus allowing for the new sailing. Several things make this sailing attractive.

Freshly Dried Magic

Repeat cruisers know that there is no better time to enjoy a cruise ship than right after a dry dock. As a result, one of the most popular sailings of 2008 has been the September 27 sailing of the Disney Magic, originally scheduled to be the first sailing of the newly spiffed-up ship. But now you can beat those folks to the gun and gain bragging rights by signing on to the special, 3-night sailing announced today! Be the first to experience the enhancements and refurbishments that will result from the Disney Magic's longest dry dock ever! During the last dry dock a Jumbotron and a miniature water park were added to the Disney Magic. Who knows what they will add this time!

A "Charming" 3-Night Cruise
It has been years since the Disney Magic has done a 3-night itinerary, so this is really a rare opportunity. The September 24, 2008 itinerary will include a special performance of the musical "Twice Charmed," an original production developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line's 7-night sailings. So take advantage of your chance to see this twist on the Cinderella story that at present can only be seen on the Disney Magic. "The Golden Mickeys" and "Disney Dreams" will also be performed.

Ghost Ship (but not for long)
Since it just opened for booking this sailing is totally empty. The best rooms and dining times are still available. This won't last! Call (800) 771-8690 now!

It's a Steal
As of the time of this writing, a family of four (2 adults, 2 children ages 3 to 12) can sail in a category 11, Standard Inside Stateroom, for as little as $1592, in total. This same party can sail in a verandah (balcony) for only $2232. These rates include all taxes, government fees and fuel surcharges. Or leave the children at home and treat your spouse to a quick getaway for two. Double rates begin at only $901 in total for two. Sometimes it's easier to arrange for coverage when the children are in school, making this Wednesday to Saturday sailing more attractive to couples traveling alone.

Visit our website for more rates.

What??? A miniature water park on the Magic???? Where is that??? (Methinks they got it confused with the Wonder's kiddie splash zone maybe?)

Yeahhhhhhh I priced it too. If I wasn't blowing all my vacation leave and we didn't have to pony up for an additional stateroom yesterday that would have been nice, but......:confused3

Okay - no CM and now we're not the first sailing after dry dock. It's a good thing that we all know how SPECIAL we really are!!!!:rotfl:

Nothing like beating us when we're down...lol. And what the heck is a jumbotron??

The big fancy TV screen out on deck.

And was the Mickey slide there before the last dry dock? Maybe that's what they're referring to as a "mini-water park"? I know, I'm stretching.

Hey all!

So here is what I am proposing that our new name badges would look like (this is mine, obviously) on our lanyards.....with our NEW & IMPROVED logo :rotfl2: ...(I tried to use a font that looks like legible handwriting so that it matches the shirts of all of us who will be writing on our shirts!! :lmao: )

You are the MAN, Erik! Perfect. I love it! If you get majority votes for this updated logo, can you please, pretty please, make a JPG with the logo only? I know it will be up on MY cabin door. I'll replace the link in Post #6 with the new logo, too, once you're done.

FINALLY..........I have an announcement!!

I'm at T-100 today!!!!

I am so excited about Grand Cayman!!! Erik, you did a great job with the name tags! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Did anyone ever do a Pirate Tour at Grand Cayman????

Oh yea...I knew there was something else to tell you.

I know that we're posting here and others on the main forum about GC excursions. For another source, you might want to browse the October 25 Meets thread. They're posting some ideas there, too.
