I just posted a little info about the hunt...so you can include that if you wish. Or a link to the info. Or I can send the info to you...

Thanks, Heather! Please check out the bottom of Post #6 (link in my siggy) and let me know if it's okay. I've added a link to your post above, as well, so if you simply want to keep that post updated with your list of people, then everyone will know to go to Post #6 to easily find the current list of participants. Just a suggestion, but I'll leave that up to you. So if I should take that link out, just let me know!

Julie, I'm so sorry to hear about little DS!!! Poor guy! Hang in there. Great news that DH will be able to come see you though!!

For our trip insurance we went with AccessAmerica. On their own website they offer a plan called Family Basics which insures kids for free. We paid under $100 for our family of 5.

The web sites that compare prices for many different companies don't include this coverage as part of their comparisons. You have to go directly to the AccessAmerica site.

:thumbsup2 Thank you for the tip PapaMoose.

My quote from Access America Family Basics was just a little over $122 for six of us.

Question of the Week:
If you collect things, what are they?

Hi, Drea.

Congrats on the hotel score!

If I could ask, what star rating was Country Inn & Suites listed at? 3 star or 2.5? also, was the area listed as Cocoa Beach - Cape Canaveral? I just did a search & am coming up w/a 3 star for $86 or a 2.5 star for $65. Interestingly, the 2.5 star has more amenities listed........

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Not to mention the fact that they have cameras everywhere like all the other ships. Why would you do this again? :moped:

I've never done this! I was just asking because I didn't know what the rules were. We will not be throwing anything off the ship! I just thought it was a cool idea to see where the bottle would end up and if anyone would write back.

Kimberly:
Wasn't there a guy (US ex-pat) who lives & works somewhere near Costa Maya.....
He was posting progress updates on his website right after the hurricane that came through - damages, rebuilding, etc. I don't remember his name though (or website). Did anyone mention him yet?

I'm pretty sure I know who you mean but I can't seem to find out what happened to him. I thought his website was something like www.portillas.com but it doesn't seem to be active any more.

I'll see what I can find out...

Kimberly,
Thanks for posting a question of the week. I have been so busy it totally slipped my mind. Also, it is a great question--not being much of a collector it would have never occurred to me, but it is a fantastic one--especially for secret Mickey ideas. Here are our answers. We are not really collectors so these are the best I can come up with:rolleyes1 :

Dave: absolutely nothing. He despises "clutter."

Hadley: Nice leather hardbound books (like the Eastman Press ones). I haven't gotten any new ones in years (we move so often it is hard to move extra stuff) but that would be the one thing. Oh, and yes I actually do read them (people tend to ask when they see them all out on the mantel) as does Marika.

Marika: Animal figurines. Her windowsill is covered in them. Also silver charms for her charm braclette (they all have some meaning--mostly places we have been, but also things like her and her female cousins all have the same charm, she has an art pallete from when she won an art contest and a ballerina from her first and only dance recital, etc.)

Rio: I can't think of anyting he really collects. There are things he has a lot of like ivy style hats (he has at least a dozen and wears one most days), legos, swords, etc.

Another fun question!!

Me: Turtles...I even tattooed one on my body in college, and to this day (I'm 32!) my dad still doesn't know I did it :lmao:

Jeff: Chicago Bears anything & everything

Reese: Hotwheels, StarWars "guys", bugs

What do we collect?

I used to collect Precious Moments, but that got boring and expensive. Now I just collect dust bunnies. ;)
Dh has a ton of Steeler things. (pictures, terrible towels etc.).
Gab: Giraffe things or butterlies. used to Polly Pockets. we have a million little pieces.
Nat: Elephants. and American girl
Jr: this month it is Star Wars. and Steelers of course.

Awesome deal on the hotel room. we are going to MNSSHP so we are going to try and get a room in Orlando. we used Priceline last time and got a nice room. DH needs to travel more so we can get free hotels again. :)

We buy a Christmas ornament from our vacation that year. My tree could be all Disney soon.

We used to collect beach towels from our vacations since we had a hot tub, now that is done.

Great question of the week:

Me - scrapbook stuff - lots of it!
Darrell - anything USC
Abby - anything 10-year old girls collect - lots of clutter - lipgloss, books, hair clips, more lip gloss, etc.

Does anybody know if your Disney reservation should match what is on your passport? I think I need to renew since we moved - anybody a Passport expert?

LuvtheEars - didn't mean to sound abrassive - sorry! :bitelip: Just didn't want you to get in trouble. We have done that before, but once we were at the beach and out a little ways. Haven't heard back yet and it has been 4 years!

Janet and I are trying to uncollect stuff. We have so much junk it is impossible to keep it organized. Because we know at some point we will be selling the house and moving; our goal is to slowly pass on to others our junk cause in reality we could live with 1/4 of the material belongings we now have.

If we still collect anything it is vacation T-shirts. Lois

Mine is the same as Reese! Except for the bugs and the fact that mine is my husband! He has literally thousands of Hot Wheels.:scared1:

I used to collect Steiffs (stuffed animals from Germany) but I am allergic to dust, so they are all now in the guest room.

We both really enjoy NASCAR. We love watching the races, attending them occasionally and keeping up with the drivers.

There was some cruise movement this weekend in the Kimberly household!! Yesterday, we booked the Dolphin Encounter through Dolphin Discovery Cozumel. All three of us are scheduled for 1:00.

Yea Kimberly! We are also booked at 1:00 pm! DW, DS, and Mom are doing the 'Encounter' and I'm doing the 'Swim Adventure'. Great thing about booking direct is that DS is FREE so it's no big tragedy if he freaks out and doesn't want to "play"! He doesn't count as a paying customer for the free taxi fare though. (Free taxi with 4 or more paying on their website). We are all excited!!

COOL!!! It looks like we'll be taking the place over! I've heard great things about Chankanaab but don't know much about the restaurants on site... does anyone know, or have any menus?

Question of the week - mine is scrapbooking stuff!! I'm always looking and pick up stuff (I squirrel it away and then sometimes I find it after the fact of course)!!

Drea: We plan on eating at Fishlips or Grills on either Thursday night or Friday night before the cruise. We will probably choose the one with the least pricey menu ;)

Question of the week: What do you collect?

Me: Handbags and shoes! Much to my DH's dismay

DH: Anything Greenbay Packers or Oregon Ducks Football (jerseys, bobbleheads, autographs, pictures.............................)

DD: All things Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers

DS: Matchbox cars, trucks, trains, dinasours..........I even find pieces of the bark chips from the playground in the pockets of his jeans when I do his laundry :rotfl2: He is only 3 and already a pack rat. :confused3

ARIN-
I remember reading somewhere that you booked the BEach Break.....was it in Cosumel?:drinking1

We just booked that one also
