RKandMJsmommy: Any more improvement to report?

Jen: Hope you have smooth sailing, too.

My DBF and I are going on September 23 also! I'm so excited! We got our tickets (I still need to check them though to make sure the date is right) so we should be set to go. Didn't get the DVC discount, but I'm excited none-the-less! :)

We are also going on the 23rd. We are bringing my sister and cousin and it will be their first time.:yay:

Denise: I do that too! Whenever I am board, or in "cruise mode", I go and buy little things for the cruise. I have a huge storage container full of stuff! :rotfl2:

And....................to all of you going to MNSSHP, I am jealous. We will be there 2 days post cruise, but we are staying at Ron Jon in Cocao Beach, so it has not been a part of our plan to go................hmmm, maybe I will look into it :rolleyes1

Arin,
I plan to go to LNT today, they have a great 16 piece travel set for shampoos, lotions etc. DH and the kids can use the stuff on the ship, I need my own stuff:banana:

I *tink* you should come to MNSSHP with us on Oct 5:goodvibes We are staying at Pop sat and sun night, think about it, its a GREAT way to see MK!!!! We liked it better than MVMCP

AWWWWWWwww, thanks for asking, I didnt want to bore you all with the saga LOL

They are having INternational day so I made Baked ziti and will take that in, if she is not feeling good I will bring her home. Dr doesnt want her taking gym until further notice, and we have to go back next week for antoher check up, repeat the chest x ray in about a month. Her spirits are up, thanks to Crissichef and her family, Rachel and Danielle are "best friends", they have grown up with each other and Daneille brought her a bunch of gifts and in case you all didnt know this Crissichef is the BEST COOK:banana: and brought Rachel her favorite meal!

all in all doing MUCH better

Thanks again for asking, any pics from your cruise you care to share <grin>

We just ordered our tickets for MNSSHP. :) We had so much candy last year, we left 2 bags with our room steward.

MNSSHP-- Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. It is a party that starts at 4 pm at the Magic Kingdom. everyone gets to trick or treat. A lot of the characters at night are the villians. There is a cool parade with the Headless horsemen. and the BEST fireworks. :) It is a great time. Tickets are extra. the park is open until midnight. alot of kids/families are dressed for Halloween. We had on Steeler jerseys. This year I want to do tye dye.

I am originally from PA too. :) Go Pens :)

Thanks Val for the MNSSHP info. I think I will check this out. Hopefully, it won't break the bank. Our original plans are to go to DTD, look around and eat at the Rain Forest Cafe. But it's early and plans can change. The grandkids have never been to WDW.

Gramto3 - the MNSSHP is a great time!!! You should experience it at least once if you get the chance (although with a large crowd it could get pricey).

Jen - hope everything is going well - can't wait to see pictures of little Sara.

Denise - glad to hear everything is progressing (although much slower than you would prefer).

Question of the week - As with everyone, it's really tough to narrow it down. I really like the TOT but based on history and memories, I'd have to go with Pirates. Everytime I took the boys to WDW our first park was always MK and the traditional first ride was always Pirates!

MNSSHP ~ So let me get this straight. You pay the regular price of admission to Magic Kingdom, plus $55.95 + tax for 10+ages, $49.95 for 3-9 for MNSSHP, and the parking fee?

Either I am not understanding or I am cheap (probably both)!

Well technically the regular price to get into MK is $75 for adults. But for this event you just buy the admission to this event only (not sure if that is what you are saying) which is what you listed. It begins at 4 and goes until 12. Special parade plus lots of fun. For someone like us, it is not a bad deal. And yes, you pay for parking if you are not staying on site.

Okay ~ thanks.

I thought you paid the regular price in addition to the MNSSHP price.

Cannot wait to see pictures of Sarah!!! MNSSHP is super fun! Adults liked it just as much as the kids and the rides are not crowded at all!! Hope Rachel is better. We only have 2 more weeks of school - is everybody getting ready for summer? :cool1: Buckeye Gal - is all that info you posted for posting a picture on the boards? I still don't know how to do that.

Sorry that I have not posted more often..been busy with my video job....anyway, without reading thru all the missed posts (and we are quite the chatter bunch) are we still doing the fish extenders?
I have informed the other familes that are traveling w/ me about them and the last I remember was it was up in the air....

Can someone please fill me in...
thanks

Gramto3

We HIGHLY recommend MNSSHP, it was a GREAT time. The party starts at 7pm but with our MNSSHP tix they let people in at 4, the regular guests dont need to leave until 7. The ride lines are way short, the trick or treating is a blast, you get to see a lot of characters, the fireworks are AMAZING:love: We are so glad we extended our trip, one main reason was to do this party.

http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mnssh.htm

This shoud help you out, the tix are a bit expensive BUT when you compare them to a day pass to MK, its cheaper and since it goes until midnight we dont do a park that day anyway, we just chill at the resort of have a nice breakfast, this year we are donig Kona:woohoo:

Thanks everyone for the MNSSHP information.

I will need to brainstorm this with Jeninpa since she will be paying also. We will need to go Friday night since we fly home the same day we disembark. It will make for a very long day (we fly at 6:15am) but sounds like an experience not to miss.

Denise - Hope your daughter is on the fast track to getting well.

Kona??? What am I missing? Where are you eating breakfast?

I agree with everyone about getting tickets to MNSSHP! We are going the night before the cruise and staying at the Contempoary Friday night.

We have only done the MVMCP, so I have a question. Do you bring your own trick or treat bag or do they supply them there? Also, do adults dress up or just the kids?

Thanks for the heads up about the mis-printed tickets. Ours came in the mail Yesterday. I checked them and they are all OK.

Kimberly - It's a shame you are going to the MNSSHP on a different day than we are. I would let you take my two on the teacup ride. They looooove it but it makes me sick  . Doug takes them on it, but they are not allowed to spin the teacup too much. I'm sure they would have a ball with someone who loves it as much as they do.

130 days!!!!!! I can't stand it!!!! I guess it's time to get started on our Pirate costumes! pirate: Who all is dressing up? Hadley, if Rio is Peter Pan then we should plan a picture with Megan dressed as Wendy and Rio as Pan! Perhaps we can find Captain Hook too!

Jen - Any news yet??

Tiffany

Tiffany (LuvTheEars): We are dressing up for pirate night! pirate: I bought the kids costumes on clearance at Target after Halloween 2007. I had them try them on the other day just for fun (and to make sure they still fit). DS looks so freakin cute in his, he even wore the bandana and the hat, which I didn't think he would like. Of course, the sword is his favorite part of the costume though. :rotfl: I am still working on getting my costume together. So far I just have a Pirates of the Caribbean jean skirt and some cute "piratey" boots. DH will just be wearing jeans and a Skull & crossbones t-shirt. Getting him to participate in the whole "Dress up" stuff is a struggle. You should have seen his face when I showed him the shirt he is wearing in embarkation day! :lmao:

Kona??? What am I missing? Where are you eating breakfast?
We are eating at Kona Oct 5, the day of MNSSHP, YUM!!

We have only done the MVMCP, so I have a question. Do you bring your own trick or treat bag or do they supply them there? Also, do adults dress up or just the kids?
WE got bags at the party, they were a pretty good size,

My DS is gonig to be Captain Jack DD is being Elizabeth, Steve and I will do something, just not sure what yet, I will probably wear something Tink, since that is what my WHOLE wardrobe consists of, althought I love the black skirts with the off the shoulder white shirts:) Steve should be Captain Hook;)

Hey everyone!!! I am back from a great vacation in Destin Florida. although I have decided Iwant to be my DH on vacation someone else packs, unpacks washes, plans. all he does is show up and pay:cool1:

We are planning on all dressing up in full pirate dress. I made costumes last year for Halloween to carry over for the cruise. Even Dh is onboard.

Erik, I was never really given a choice about whether to have the MNSSHP tickets sent to me or held at the park. When I asked the TA to get regular Magic Kingdom tickets for that day she said we could save three dollars in postage by having them held at Will Call at the park. But the MNSSHP tickets arived about four days after I asked her to get them for us.

I take it no one else received mis-printed tickets.
