I did indeed do the door magnets and the t-shirt design...Your avatar was one of the ones that was voted down....

I sure I saw you during the sail-a-away party...

Looking forward to meeting new friends this time again

charlie:woohoo:

Arin--Yay for potty training!! Way to go :)

Favorite Disney Characters:
Me--Mickey Mouse. The vintage version.
Hubby--Donald Duck
Reese--Goofy

It was fun reading everyone's responses! Our fish extender actually has our 3 favorite characters on it...

I'm planning to order a Double Dip logo shirt for myself & for Reese. I haven't asked Hubby if he'll wear one or not, but he's usually game for whatever goofball clothing ideas I come up with, so I would imagine we'll all three be wearing ours!

And pirate night? We'll be looking exactly like this:
Picture133.jpg

Reese's costume will still fit, so we won't change anything!

Goodness, I miss a while and I'm swamped when I get back. I've just been So busy! Anyway, as for this week's question. My favorite character is Flower, obviously! He's the cutest little thing. (yes, he's a boy) I own pretty much everything ever made with him on it! James is partial to Kermit (I know, not truly Disney), but he was so cute when we saw him at the Disney Studios. It was the first time he really got over excited about a Character! He's usually just so laid back. You know, they guys guy! hahaha.

Erik: I'm also a Musical fanactic. I'm a dancer and did musical theatre most of my life. I have friends that are Rockettes, on cruise ships and in the Producers touring cast. We just got tickets for when the Lion King comes to the Kennedy Center and we saw Wicked in Baltimore when it was touring.

Oh, and we're also going to be without Pirate costumes! Sorry. I plan on doing Palo that night.

Let's see...

My favorite characters are Mickey,Chip & Dale and Cinderella.

My DBF's favorite character is Pluto.

Interesting to see the different answers! :)

What a fun question!

ME: As a child, Pooh and of course Mickey........I have come to love Eeyore and Tink too!

DH: Goofy (How fitting)

DD: Pooh

DS: Lightning McQueen - He is a CARS junkie too !

Arin - I think Erik and Chase will get along VERY well !

Crissi

So, in the interest of getting to know each other better and playing off of Erik's survey idea for Secret Mickey participants (but wanting to get to know EVERYONE better), how about a Question of the Week?

This week's question: Who is your favourite Disney character?

I'll start. I've always like Mary Poppins (maybe becasue I am so like her--pratically perfect in every way  )

Dave, always the odd one out, loves Milo Thatch from Atlantis:3dglasses

Marika (who always as her nose in a book) is of course rather fond of Belle:cutie:

And hten we have Rio who cannot settle for just one. He picks Mickey and Pluto and also Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planetpirate:

Goofy is my favorite with Pluto a close second!!!!

I really wish DCL would Hurry up and Post the "Official" Excursions already for this cruise :headache: I am soooooooooooo impatient here... :sad2:

I am with you there. I am sure we will not see them until at least 105 days out. And only then if they are sure that we will be able to use the Costa Maya port. I hope we can. It sure is hard to plan when we do not know the options!!!!Lois

I was looking at DCL's site and it looks like our cruise is completely sold out (that is, until final payments are due, then a few staterooms might open up). What was more interesting is that for the next available double dip in 2008, the fare for the 3 of us in the same cat is now over $1000 more than what we paid. Booking early is a good thing!

Mine is Little Mermaid. the movie came out when I was in college and I fell in love with her.

Until then it was Tigger.

This week's question: Who is your favourite Disney character?

Well....let's see....

Brendan's favorite is Mickey
Savannah's favorite character is Minnie but her favorite Princess ("But that's Different, Mom!") is Cinderella.
Ron's is Goofy
Mine....Well frankly I like them all. But I have to say I am partial to Tigger (as I have had now 3 cats named after him-yet not a one of them could bounce on their tail!! :tigger: )
It's too soon to call on Sarah, but she's got a good start, her nursery theme is Disney Princesses!!! (although her first toy is a stuffed Eeyore rattle I bought at MK in February)

Yeah..it's been sold out for quite a while. January or February IIRC. For some reason the prices on *those* Double Dips did not go up (and out, LOL) as quickly as ours did. I guess we're just speical that way...

Sorry I haven't been too vocal lately but I have been lurking around, as always. Its been a little rough around here...my Aunt passed away last week, and although it wasn't unexpected it still is never easy. My grandma was stuck on a RCI trans-atlantic cruise when my aunt passed, and had to wait several days to reach land in order to fly back. Unfortunately in the confusion somebody at RCI *cancelled* the flight plans they (my Grandma and her boyfriend) had hurriedly made...they managed to fly out of the Azors and Lisbon, Spain in short fashion, but got stuck at Heathrow in London for over 24 hours. Over 88 flights were canceled and there was nowhere to sit, so they had to sit on their luggage....mind you they are in their late 80's (in good health, but still!) They ended up finally getting a flight out of there into Chicago but still missed the services after all that. The funeral home was wonderful though and allowed them to keep everything up until the next day when they finally arrived in and they were able to have a private viewing to say goodbye. :sad1:

AND if that wasn't enough.....keep me in your thoughts, cause I found out last week that Sarah's blood flow doppler studies took a huge spike- so I have to go back Monday for more dopplers, if they are higher (and they likely will be) then an Amniocentesis is scheduled for Tuesday, and if the results of that are high bilirubin levels, I will be admitted to the hospital on Wednesday for a Intra-Unterine transfusion...which is pretty dangerous and could result in preterm delivery (which we expected, just not this early). I'm hopeful all that won't be necessary though....

Anyway enough of the Debbie Downer stuff....hope you are all having a good week!!!!!!!

 Oh Jen, I sure hope everything settles down and you do not have any more complications at all with you little one to be. I will be thinking of you.

Epperbiker--long time no post! So are you a bicycle biker or a motorcylce biker? We have a big motorcycle Bike Week up here (Laconia) every June. I alwasy take hte kids out to the diner where a lot of the bikers eat breakfast so we can wander the parking lot and admire the bikes (from a distance of course).

It has been sold out for some time. I am guessing that in June when final payment is due a few rooms will open up and be grab up just as fast.

You and your family will have my prayers. Problems with an unborn child can be very scary. I am due to have a new grandchild early May. I pray everyday that everything goes well. I hope that the test come back OK and that you have a full term and healthy child. i will add you and your child to my prayers

When we were on our last cruise my 44 year old sister passed leaving a 14 year old DD alone. There was no way we could get home so we stayed the rest of the cruise (just two days) but it really put a damper on the fun. It is never easy when a loved one dies expected or not. And healing takes time, lots and lots of time. Hopefully everything will calm down and you will get the pixie dust you and your family need right now. Lois

Lots of P &Pt for you and your family. I hope everything is okay with the baby. My DS was a little early the NICU can be very scary.

Jen
I will be keeping you and baby in my thoughts, keep us updated :grouphug:

Yes, I'm afraid I have not kept up to date with this thread. I guess I was the one guy who didn't know we'd been sold out for months :rolleyes1

I've ridden motorcycles for over 25 years, and was involved in club-level road racing when I was younger. I've never made it to Laconia but am well aware... I love all kinds of motorcycles but have never been a "Harley Dude".

Best wishes to all.

I can honestly say I don't care where we go!!! You know the Captain and crew will keep us safe... my family will just go with the flow, and if we end up in Guatemala, so be it!!!

...and besides, from the article (no surprise here);

"Gray's team says precise predictions are impossible"

"We have not been ashamed of our forecast failures. It is the nature of seasonal forecasting to sometimes be wrong"
