double check reservations

I just thought i'd suggest to everyone that they check everything with Disney about a month before you go-Reason-We are going in September on the 7 for the price of 5 nights dream maker package. Our final payment was due on 7/28-I mailed a check (small fortune)on monday 7/19 and the check cleared my bank account on thursday 7/22. I received a notice on wednesday 8/4 that Disney hadn't received my final payment--I called and they had no record of receiving my check(just great)-whoever i talked to transfered me to someone named Jessie Marie--I gave her the amount, the check# and the date it cleared my account-she told me she would check into it and call me back within 3 to 4 days-
Monday, probably since she did not work on fridays or saturdays.
She called me back the next day at work and told me they found my money and would be applying it towards my reservation. I'm glad they found it and appreciate Jessie Marie's help, my boyfriend said i should have asked for an upgrade or something but i didn't..
Morale of the story- Don't assume just because you think you're paid in full dosn't mean it's so.

Absolutely. It is so much easier to check your ressies and PS's 24-48 hours before you leave home rather than have to deal with it on-site

we had booked one ressie for our family of four and paid in full... we then changed our ressie, split it into two ressies (dh/kid one and me/kid two) so we could have two rooms (cheaper this way than one package and one room only) and applied the money from the original ressie to the new one... great... had to add a few bucks (for the second room) so i gave them my cc # to charge add'l charges... great...

well, fast forward a few weeks, and i get a notice in the mail that dh's ressie is on the verge of being cancelled if we do not pay in full! WHAT THE?!?!? obviously i quickly called and applied payment but heck, if dh had picked up the mail that day, i might not have seen it for a month and we would have been in a boatload of trouble...

so, yes, check, double check and then triple check that disney reservations is doing what they say they are doing when they say they are doing it!!!
