I know that you are not supposed to double book ADRs, but how far apart do they have to be? Will Disney go ahead and cancel them?
I have an ADR at Chef Mickey's at 5pm. I am not expecting much food wise, and am only doing it for my daughter. I would like to try Kona for dinner and have no other nights open. I was thinking of making an ADR for 7:30ish. We have a resort/pool day scheduled(staying at Poly) so we aren't missing park time.

If I'm not mistaken, you can do that. The food at Chef Mickey's really isn't that bad, but the food at Kona is awesome!!! Your daughter will certainly enjoy Chef Mickey's. It was one of my son's favorite meals. My husband and I went to Kona back in Oct....fabulous food, wait staff was just okay, but the food made up for it. I had read mixed reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Have a great trip!

I have heard of them cancelling all ADR's on your reservation if you have double booked, b/c people were booking 2 to hold them and cancelling one later. I'm not sure how far apart they have to be, though.

OP; I think you'll actually be fine. Disney was canceling when they saw two at/near same time which yours are not. So, go, enjoy ad Eat well, LOL!

Personally, I think anyone that books ANY dining should just use common courtesy to cancel what you do not use so others who are really trying to get in the restaurants, can perhaps get in, especially during busy seasons.

As far as what you picked, Kona is awesome, a not to be missed for us and the dessert for the kids is so cute a "presentation" of Ice Cream, kids love it....

Have a great Vacation!

Is there a free morning that you could go to Chef Mickey's? It sounds like you just want the character experience. The breakfast is really good.

It would save you money or credits if you could get in for a breakfast.

Is that actually a double booking (meaning you intend to cancel one) or are you planning on attending both restaurants for dinner?

Be aware that you will have to pay for the meal at Chef Mickey's for everyone attending - as it's a buffet, they won't allow anyone to sit at the table without paying the full buffet price.

Kona also serves lunch.

use a different phone number (cell phone) on your second booking if you are afraid that they will cancel one of them, I don't think they would, but people have said that they have but I also think that is just a rumor.

Not a rumor. CMs that post on here have posted that they themselves have been told to cancel double bookings if they see them. They have also posted that they have done so. I think the OP should be OK though, since his are futher apart. I agree with a previous post though about using a different phone number (and also a different email address) just to be on the safe side.
