Happy Friday!

Just wondering if there was any advice or suggestions for surviving and navigating the busses with a double bob jogger. We are heading to Disney in April with our *will be* 15 month old twins. I am opting for renting a bob because they adore their bob at home, but it certainly is not the most low profile stroller that has ever existed.

We are staying at Boardwalk so thankfully can walk to Epcot, boat or walk to Hollywood Studios, Monorail to Magic... AND will have a car (driving from Maine, whole other can of fun to come!), but assume that the bus may present itself at least once over the trip. (Thinking most likely our AK days...)

We also well outnumber the babies (7 adults to 3 toddlers) so not concerned about one person wrangling babies while the other manages the stroller. We also are not all attached at the hip...

It's just our first time going where we will have the stroller and I would love some advice on ways to make the transitions less stressful, things to look for, things to consider, helpful hints, etc.

Thank you!

I'm not familiar with that stroller but my suggestion is have it collapsed BEFORE the bus shows up. Especially as you'll have enough adults to hold the little ones. There's nothing quite like waiting for your bus, then a family waits until they're getting on to take all the extras out of the stroller and collapse it.

There is no monorail from Boardwalk to the Magic Kingdom, unless you are walking all the way from the back of Epcot to the front to get the monorail. A bus will take you to the Magic Kingdom. I agree with Sam, fold up the stroller before boarding starts.

I think we are actually planning on that lengthy walk from the monorail for most of our transport to/from MK, but that certainly could change if the kiddos are super anti-monorail! (And for early trips and such, may be different!)

Make sure you have park hoppers, because you'll need entrance to both Epcot and MK, then. It is about a 20-25 minute walk from BW to the monorail.

I would not recommend that. You have the walk to the EC monorail, monorail to TTC, change to MK monorail, then monorail to MK.

I would bus.

I would NOT walk from the monorail at the front of Epcot to the Boardwalk. It's a LONG walk, especially with Littles. (and you would need to go through security to enter Epcot, which adds to the time). Way more convenient to take a bus.

We've never minded the walk (long time vets of the Epcot resorts) but due understand that we certainly won't have as much wiggle room when aiming for naps and such with the littles! (And they are troopers in the stroller - I've done some serious marathon training with the jogger, and they are epic stroller nappers!) That walk doesn't really phase us, or I should say, never has, but totally agree that when time is a factor, we will opt for driving or the bus!

Admit that I have always loved walking back to the resort through World Showcase... Any excuse for a snack!

Not sure about that specific stroller its been a while but the key for me was having everything pretty much packed up before heading to the bus area. I used a backpack for a "diaper bag" so it could be worn hands free. Collect everything out of the baskets and cup holders and as pp's have said try and fold the stroller when your in line or at least when you see the bus arriving if you can do it Very Quickly :) Sometimes there is room to stand by the back door to keep the stroller out of the way so watch for that. Otherwise I just tried to keep it close to the seat and out of the way.

I always took the bus to MK as it is quick and drops off right in front and then, as you mentioned took the monorail back and walked through Epcot when staying at an Ecpot resort. Nothing better than a snack and a "beverage" in Epcot on the way back after a day at the MK.

FIW my kids are 15 mos apart and I traveled with them as the solo adult starting when they were toddlers and had a great time, double stroller and all. So with your party outnumbering the kids don't worry you will be fine, and YES if they are good stroller nappers a stroller that is familiar and comfortable to them is worth it!

We've been with a double Bob! Honestly, no worse than any other double stroller. Our first trip we had the stroller with our 2 year old twins. DH always stood in the stroller standing spot by the back door while I handled the twins.
Our second trip we had 5 year old twins and a 2 year old. We had a double Maclaren and a single Bob. Same scenario. I handled twins and 2 year old while DH handled the strollers.

It's totally a hassle (no matter the stroller) but everyone else is doing it too. It's totally fine. But like others said have the stroller completely unloaded (kids + stuff) before the bus gets there and be ready to board. Also, realize that someone is going to be on their own with babies. The parent with the stroller will have to be in the stroller standing area unless the bus is not full.

ETA: You may not expect many Bobs in the parks but one of the big stroller rental companies does Bobs. So, there will be a lot (mainly blue and orange in my experience). So, be sure to mark your stroller even if you thought it might stand out.

Drive to AK. Why would you take the bus? And just walk across the lot rather than having to deal with that stroller on the tram.

Heck, drive to MK. I do. The morning it can be more convenient to take transportation, but at night when your bus stop is inevitably the furthest away with the longest line, being on the move to get on the ferry (I prefer it to the monorail, and it's a lot more stroller-friendly than the monorail is) then walk to the car is soooo much better.

We have taken our double BOB to the parks many times. ALWAYS drive to AK and MK if staying near Epcot. We skip the lot trams and walk to the gate. Sometimes if we are at the park all day, I will run out to the lot about 4pm and move the van to the closest spot I can find. Leaving in a crowd, its very nice to have the short walk. My kids are all champion stroller sleepers. I have actually had my 7 year old and her cousin sleeping on the front foot rest area, two kids in the seats sleeping and a fifth on the handlebars sleeping. Especially when we stay at OKW or SSR, load the kids into the car and out again right in front of the room.
