Great update! It looks like you had a lot of fun meeting Steph! Arminda and Jacob are so cute together! I love the campfire girls photos and Brian sweeping too funny. It looks like you enjoyed your meal at WCC! I'm debating whether or not to give it another chance since it was our WORST dining experince at Disneyworld. I loved WL. It is so beautiful! I said to DH it would be fun to stay there then I laughed because I think I liked it because it reminded me of home (not my house just where I live, in the West, KWIM?) the gardens are familiar, the western theme was familiar. No wonder I loved it. But if I'm going to Florida, I want Florida! I wanna see me some palm trees! Glad David and Barbara were found. I can imagine her distress at breaking her MIL's cell phone!

We waited at the Contemporary for a bus to DTD for over 1/2 an hour.

So I'm not overly impressed with the bus service at the Deluxes.

That said...I didn't know there WAS a bus from the Wilderness Lodge to MK.

I thought you had to ride the boat.

I know at Ft. Wilderness you have to ride the boat, and it also stops at the Wilderness Lodge.

So that might be the reason buses to MK are few and far between.



Anyway, glad you found David. I HATE when people get lost and you spend all that time looking for each other. Ugh.

Great update, as usual!

So, you can feel our pain about the buses!

David and I thought there were boats, but I didn't see any signs pointing to them while we were there! I'm sure that would have been quicker, or at least, no less slow!!

I do want to point out though, that David and Barbara were exactly where they were suppose to be at the time they said they would be there. They all would have been home by 9:00 if Heather's advice (which I strongly seconded) was followed!

I really like WCC, the food was even good this year! Last year, it was seriously nasty though! Although, the interaction was a bit better then.

Yep, Barbara was PRETTY upset about the cell phone! It was just a Tracfone though, so it wasn't a big deal, other than them not being able to get in touch with one another. Now, if that sort of concern were displayed over my missing walkie talkie, that would have been nice!

Now I don't know if Scrappy sleeps with Steph and her hubby or not...but if that is the case, then it's gonna be one fun slumber party!!!

Oh, I do have a question too...why didn't y'all just take the boat to MK? It is a much more expedient way to get to the Magic Kingdom than waiting for that dadblasted bus!

"our hostess came over, and told us that we would have to sit with whoever we were sharing a check with, because they had put two different waiters in charge of our one party. (one at one table, one at the other) Heather and I politely told her that no, we were not going to move. Seriously, I have NEVER been to a restaurant where they told you who you had to sit by! The hostess wasn't happy about that, and told us that we would have to split our parties into two different checks. Whatever lady...." I totally forgot about that! I don't think I was too polite when I said "We're staying right where we are." I couldn't believe they actually expected us to move to another table to make it easier to bill us!

Tessa commented as we were looking through the pictures the other day, "There's another one of Arminda's free desserts. It really wasn't fair that she got free desserts when it wasn't really her birthday."

Poor Tessa! Look at how hot she is already in that picture of them making the "campfire".

I think the reason that the line is always long on Pooh is because it's a slow loading/moving ride. Kind of the same reason the Dumbo line is long. That's just a guess, though.

I just told the kids what you said about Arminda and Jacob!!! Lydia is giggling up a storm! And, I told them that it MUST be true, because MissCammie said so! Which, got Corey giggling up a storm!

I said something about taking the boat, but we didn't see any sign to it, and nobody else in our party had ever heard of a boat coming to WL. (And, you know with my leader anxiety, I didn't want to look stupid by insisting on this!)

So this morning I got up and decided to read a trip report or two. You and your sister just crack me up! As I posted in her TR, instead of doing today, I read her TR. I got so engrossed that I got up to speed in no time...well, several hours. So, did I get up and walk away and prepare my Power Point presentation for work tomorrow? Nope, I started to read your TR instead! . Around 6 DH asked what we were having for dinner tonight. I said, pizza sounds good...reading this TR and I'm not done yet. So, I just got up to speed on both of your TR's and I am anxiously awaing more!!!

Seriously, it seems like you have a wonderful family and had a fabulous time on vacation. I have enjoyed ever minute of both TR's so far.

It sounds like ya'll had a great time with each other! I am glad you had fun at Whispering Canyon...our waitress was named Lazy Sue, and she sure was lazy. We didn't get anyof those fun antics!

I hope the buses run better at AKL because I really don't want to drive anywhere. The whole tram thing....I just want to be dropped off in front...I know, I am lazy!

My dd didn't like philharmagic till last year. It scared her and she didn't like the water being squirted on her. We are trying so hard to talk up Splash Mountain this year....we promised her she can wear a poncho!

I know where the UP is! We have neighbors from Michingan and Wisconsin, so we totally understand!

yep girlies there IS a boat to Magic Kingdom from The Wilderness Lodge! It is one of the major perks of staying at the Lodge. It takes about 10-ish minutes give or take. It's a lovely little sail right straight to the gates. We never took the bus to MK once! The boat dock is out the back of the resort, behind the pool!!

next time y'all go, y'all will have to give it a try!! Tell em MissCammie sent you!!

Yes, there's a BOAT to MK from WL. You have to go past the pool to get to it, since that is wheret he lagoon is. That's also why there are so few busses to MK from the WL. It's all over MY TR, too.

When I went to UT, we used to make fun of all of the "Michiganders" for showing us where they lived on their hands. I remember once we sent out a "you might be from Michigan if" list.....and one of the things was "you know how to spell and properly pronounce MACKINAC"

MMMmmmmm...just thinking about it sets off my fudge cravings.....

I'm so jealous you got to meet Steph....though not so jealous you ate at WCC.....we had a BAD experience there when we went for dinner. the restaurant being crowded is not a good recipe either, seriously.

Sorry Barbara and David got lost. That's no fun.
