If the International De Luxe Series 56 is the ONLY one good enough for Doris Day, who am I to argue?

I’ve been watching the Doris Day Show (1968-1973) on DVD. I’m currently on Seaon 5. I was in 7th grade that year (1972-1973). I remember watching the show during its initial run, but I hadn’t seen the show since the original broadcast, so it’s basically new to me. My favorite Doris movie is probably Pajama Game (1957).

Didn't the series complete change formats several times?

I think it started with her living on a farm.
Then the next few seasons she lived above an Italian restaurant in San Francisco.
Then it got a completely new supporting cast again. I think this time she was a writer for a fashion magazine.

Yes, Angie. It went from a family sitcom to a more Mary Tyler Moore type of “career woman” show. Her children and father in law were never mentioned again after season 3. I actually preferred the earlier “ farm” seasons (1968-1970). But the whole series is a fascinating timepiece of late ‘60s/early ‘70s pop culture.

I can see Vincent Price taking money to push a common item like a Christmas tree. But a celebrity endorsing a steamroller??????

Wonder if International Harvester's sales skyrocketed because Doris Day said theirs was the best.
