Dorian has messed with my plans - help

So, long story short. We had to change our flights.
Instead of arriving Tuesday we now have Thursday scheduled and hopefully we can get in by then. Flight arriving 6pm into MCO.
We are leaving on the 8th. So now we only have 3 nights instead of 5.
We were going to stay at Cabana Bay and do one night at HRH for the EP's.
Now because we have to stay in LA for 3 nights we can't afford to do the EP's.
We will be at Universal on the 7th and 8th which are a Sat and Sunday.
Realistically how badly would we need the EP's?
We've been before but with the baby (10 months) we didn't want lines so that we could get on and off quickly with our 3yo if she wanted to go on some stuff (she's tall)

If we stay at Portofino for 3 nights instead of Cabana Bay it comes out to just over AU$500 more and I just don't know if I can justify it. (this is with an AP rate)
(we can't go on the Friday as it is the only day we can go to Seaworld and that is non negotiable)

It’s hard to predict what the parks will be like. You have early entry so you can make the most of that. There is a chance crowds will be light, I’m sure quite a few have had to cancel. Locals may stay home to clean up.
Get out and do what you can in early morning. Then take the train to the other park as soon as it opens.
If you decide to stay at Portofino, you won’t regret it. Fabulous resort.

I really think it’ll be worth the $ to have EPs.

I don't think I'd go on a weekend, particularly the opening weekend of HHN, without EP. That is just me though, you do you. Going and having to wait in line is better than not going at all.

We're just about to leave our home for the airport and I thought I'd take one last look at AP rates and what do you know there were some for Standard rooms at Royal Pacific.
We've stayed there before and enjoyed it, I really wanted HRH but what can you do.
So It was $300 difference between Cabana Bay and Royal Pacific so we ended up deciding we wanted the EP's and booked RPR.

Nice choice......you could be very glad of the EP as folks might go that weekend if they`ve missed this one. Might see you as we`re at RP from the 9th.
