I earned the 2 smilies I tried for yesterday - devotions & pills. :p I admit I didn't set very high goals but combine a major depression crash with the onset of TOM and I was in no mood for goals. :teeth:

Game night with the gals was a lot of fun. If you have a big group, I highly suggest playing Apples to Apples. My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.

I slept in until 9 AM this morning - unheard of for me! Guess I needed the extra rest.

Today will be an easy-going day of catching up on laundry and cleaning, with plenty of reading and computer breaks.

No goals today! I'm giving myself the day off. princess:

I confess I spent yesterday in my jammies! :p I got lots of rest and watched most of our Disney DVD collection. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

Today I will be helping during Sunday School and staying for church. After that, I must plan menus for the week & make a trip to the grocery store. I'm also going to pack my workout bag with several outfits and put it in my car so I can resume going to the healthclub after work this week.

Rain, rain, and more rain! Can't wait to see the sun again! Now that it stays light in the evenings (thank goodness for Daylight Savings Time!!) I'm hoping I can get outside and walk with DH a few nights a week.

I'm at work and I have a lot to do, so this should be short and sweet. The worst of TOM is over. Since my level of depression is closely linked to my cycle, I know I've got 2 good weeks ahead of me. It's time to try to catch up on all the work I've blown off the last 2 weeks (when my depression was at its worst). I won't get around to journals today but I'm sending :goodvibes and :grouphug: to all.

Tonight DH and I are headed to the home of a friend from church. A small group is getting together with one of our pastors who suffers from depression. I'm looking forward to it. I'm always trying to learn more about depression and how to cope with it.

I've got all the usual goals. I'll post the updates later in the day.

1. Devotions - Waiting on the Lord, spending unstructured time in His presence listening for His voice. I confess I haven't tried this. Usually I'm busy praying to God, a very one-way conversation. The poor guy never gets a chance to get a word in edge-wise. :p I'll work on this.
2. Pills - taken.
3. Water - on my second mug.
4. Healthy eating - B = pineapple yogurt w/ slivered almonds.
5. Exercise - none yet.
6. Bedtime - 10 PM.
 
Good morning. . .oops, good afternoon, Doreen! I had a hard time logging on this morning, so I had to do laundry instead of journal on the WISH. What a way to spend the morning! :confused3

4. L = a grapefruit with some peanut M&Ms soon after - a grapefruit is NOT filling enough to stick to your ribs for long :rolleyes: PM snack = apple w/ PB

Final stats for the day:
1. Devotions - :p
2. Pills - :p
3. Water - only 3 mugs - should have had 4.
4. Healthy eating - I fell apart when I got home. snack = ice cream, D = chicken breast w/ mozz. cheese and a little spaghetti, snack = chocolate!!!!
5. Exercise - none
6. Bedtime - didn't get home until after 9 and stayed up talking with DH. Didn't get to bed until well after 10 PM.
 
Last night's meeting was very interesting. Hearing the stories of others who are struggling with depression was enlightening and encouraging and sad all at the same time. I came away feeling not so alone and with a lot to think about.

Today I am at work. I missed a major deadline last week and am dealing with the fallout as best I can. The urge to hide under the covers was strong but I won't gain anything by doing that now, so here I am. DH's job is extremely stressful too and has been for the past few months. It looks like his situation will get worse before it gets better. It's hard when we're both having such stress - usually it's only one of us and the other can be supportive.

1. Devotions - Relying on God's strength when we are at our weakest.
2. Pills - taken.
3. Water - on my second mug
4. Healthy eating - B = yogurt w/ slivered almonds, L = grapefruit, PM snack = apple w/ PB, D = a turkey breast I put in the crock pot this morning (patting myself on the back for that one!!)
5. Exercise - a walk outside this evening
6. Bedtime - In bed to read my book by 9:30, turn off the light by 10 PM.
