Door-to-Door Salesmen- What has gotten into me?!

I just slammed the door to 3 AT&T door-to-door salesmen. What has gotten into me?!

I opened the door thinking it was my inlaws... sure enough, it wasn't. I wish we had a peephole in our front door!

Has anyone else done this? Make me feel better...

No not slammed a door but close. Those At&t guys are relentless. They don't take no for an answer.

We've got long windows on either side of our front door, so I can't pretend I'm not there - they can see me! I've been known to go the front window, open it & call out, ask what they want. I hate opening the door to strangers.

I currently have a lot of first-timers to the house, but they're health professionals and they wear their ID.

I just couldn't believe that there were 3 of them standing on my porch! Why 3?!

AND the thing that really irks me is:

Guy "Hello, how are you tonight?"
Me "Oh, just fine. We're not interested"
Guy #2 "Hey, what are you not interested in?" (in this like 'hey baby' voice)

Ok... gross.

Ok...you're right. EEEWWW.............I live in a town that prohibits door to door selling Thank GOD!

I put a No Soliciting sing on the door a while ago. Seems to be helping.

The last ATT weasel that came to my door pretended to be a technician, telling me my "wiring was all set to go". Then he asked to see my internet bill. Instead I interrogated him and got to the truth. He was selling their new cable TV service.

I really should get a No Soliciting sign. DH wants me to make one somehow- but I bet I can get one at Office Max or some place like that.

Never had AT&T or any other phone company come to our door. However, we have had Cablevision come to the door a few times since my FIL dropped cable and decided to go with Dish instead They can really be a pain in the butt. I finally told the rep that there is nothing that Cablevision can do to get us to switch back - the customer service is horrible and we get some channels with Dish Network that cable will never get.

Once I tell anyone (door/phone etc) "I'm not interested." I always smile and shut the door (hang up) immediatly.
