Hi everyone!!

I am going on my first Disney cruise this October and keep reading posts about these door signs. Well I want to do one now too! How do you make it stick to the door? Does Disney already have one up for you? Talk to me fellow Disney cruisers!! :cool1:

Most craft stores have sheet magnets. You print out a picture on your computer....customized any way you'd like it...and mount it onto the magnet sheet.

Use a paint program, download various photos...anything you'd like.

One big thing is that it identifies your cabin for young children...the doors all look alike.

Welcome!!!
In answer to your question, most people either print their signs onto magnetic paper or attach magnetic strips to the back. For more information on this very interesting yet sometimes controversial topic :goodvibes , pour yourself a nice cool drink :drinking1 , sit back, relax and explore:

It's a long one!!!
Congrats on joining the ranks of DIS cruiser!

Thanks everyone for your tips. I saw some pictures on another thread that showed "Wecome the ____ Family" so does Disney put one on the door for you before you even arrive? Please advise! Thanks! :rolleyes1

No Disney does not do door signs for you. All the ones you have seen are done by the cruisers themselves. Decorating the door has become kind of a DIS tradition. It makes it much easier to pick out your stateroom. Many DIS'ers put their names, hometowns, DIS names etc. on the signs.

The link Linda gave you is great and will show you many good ideas.

I just wanted to comment on the Dollar Tree magnetic product.........the ones I purchased there are not paper............you peel and stick your pictures, paper, whatever to it..............you don't print directly on it (like you do on the magnetic paper)........plus the sheets were 9" by 12" (and 6 X 8 I think) so they won't fit into my inkjet anyway. I bought those because I thought they would be cute to cut out character shapes and some photos and things like that. Other people may have found actual magnetic paper at Dollar Tree but I did not. I think it is a useful product, just different than I have used in the past.

No it is not printable paper. But for a dollar it is a great buy. I also bought photo paper there for a buck.
