Door magnets?

Hi everyone. We are going on our first disney cruise in September and I have been seeing things about door magnets. I was wondering what these are exactly? How do you make them and most importantly how to they stick to the door? I've seen some that look pretty neat and would like to make one. Thanks for you help.

There's a big long thread about magnets and I'll try to find a link to it in a second, but basically you just find pics that please you, customize them to your will, print them onto magnetic paper, and cut them out. Some people print them onto normal paper, laminate them, and then stick magnets to the back.

The doors are made out of metal and the magnets stick to them easily.

You can actually scroll down on the Cruise Forum and there are two threads at least. The disigners are wonderful and will help and give suggestions. Also go to the creative DISign area for more info.

Just off of the Wonder and our door looked great. I had a couple of DISers make magnets with our names on them and just printed them onto regular paper and put a sticky magnet on the back (bought a roll of magnets that I cut to size at the craft store). I didn't have time to laminate them and they still looked great! Also, I made magnets with a Disney border from our WDW pictures at the Wal-Mart photo site and had them shipped directly to my store. Finally, I picked up some Disney paint chips (Mickey heads) from Home Depot, tore the head off of the swatch and just popped a magnet on the back. Our door looked awesome and we rec'd so many compliments!
