Was at Kinkos today, and I was told that they cannot print out of the magnetic paper in their printers because he heats up a lot. So now...where have you guys been printing ur magnets outside if you are printing on a magnetic paper ?

I used VistaPrint.com

The magnets were free, I did pay to upload the design and for shipping, but I got 50 magnets and I think it cost about $5, so we gave them in our FEs.

Where does it say the magnets are free ?

Can you post a link ? I am searching the website and I don't see that.

TIA.

It was a special offer at the time. It is something they do from time to time.

You just have to watch their site, the ones we did were the business card magnets, which are currently $8.99 for 25 of them.

The prices vary for various types of magnets, which you can find at: http://www.vistaprint.com/custom-magnets-multi.aspx?xnav=LeftItem&xnid=_Magnets

Okiee, this might work for making FE's, but not for making different magnets for our doors. Wish there was a online stores that did it.

How big are the magnets you are making? You could always use magnetic sheets that have adhesive on them. I've used those for making business card magnets - the magnets just have a adhesive side where you peel off the paper and stick on whatever you want the magnet to be.

The issue is printing on those magnetic sheets. I have a lousy printer and apparently kinkos doesn't let you print on magnetic sheets as it heats up their printers.

The sheets I've seen are magnetic on one side & sticky on the other. You print your picture & then peel off the sticky to attach to magnet. You can then cover with clear contact paper if you want.
I've found these at the local craft stores, they come in a roll.
Hope this helps, Annette

Where do you get your picture printed on these magnet sheets ?
