It's here! I am not an expert on placement so I need to know if it looks good. I do wish the MK 1971 part was lower. I wanted this because I was born in 1971 so WDW and I were born in the same year. I do like the old fashioned Mickey cllock in the middle. Donald is OK. As for the wristlet I like the WDW banner across the top and the front. I guess that is good too . . . Please tell me what you all think and be honest.

Hi.. placement is subjective since all of us look for different things on the disney dooneys. For example, on your messenger I lovethe fact that the WDW 1971 logo is prominently on the front as well as goofy,donald, and pluto. On my wristlet and wallet I had to have a full character and the WDW logo if possible. I too was born in 1971, and bought these bags to celebrate my bday. The important thing here is DO YOU like the placement?

I took the plunge this weekend and bought my first Dooney, at WoD with the 20% coupon that's been showing up on food receipts in the parks (must be used before noon). I'd wanted the red-trim comic print, but I hadn't seen it in stock anywhere, I wanted to use my coupon (only certain locations), and I was about to leave for the airport. So . . . the comic barrel it is, with the pink trim. Plus, the price point was a little more reasonable for my first foray into the Dooney & Bourke world, as compared to some of the other bags I admire in this line (I particularly like the DL 55th messenger bag).

I felt kinda bad for asking the CM to take every darn one of those bags off the wall for me to look at. But I really wanted the "I think we're out of cheese" panel visible on at least one side. I also decided I like the "I'm just -- just me" panel, so picked one where that was fairly prominent on the outside.

Also, I saw a ton of the sketch crossbody bags in the shops, and was surprised to see that no markdowns had been taken. Now, I know there are advantages to buying in person, so for some it'll make sense to pay that premium. But the principle of the thing really bothers me when things are marked down on the web but not on site. Harumph.

I was oh so bad again and took advantage of the 25% off yesterday to buy a 55th bucket bag. I did use my Disney Visa reward dollars to pay for half of it, so I don't feel so guilty! Less than 24 hours later and it's already shipped. I can't wait for it to arrive - come on good placement!!

Your messenger is almost exactly the same placement as the one I have. I picked it out when I was there last May. I love Donald and Goofy, and the Epcot logo! I think your wristlet looks great too. I like how the banner looks on the front.

Special thanks to you Catira. As I have mentioned, I am not someone who normally buys stuff like this. It is because of all of YOU (said in a good way) that I decided to get both my first (tonal Mickey) and now my second Disney Dooney. I have read so much about placement I just figured there had to be some kind of formula. I do love the banner across the wristlet and while I wish the 71 and the MK 1971 were more across the front of the bag/centered I think it is pretty awesome. I spend a lot of time on couponing and refund boards because that for me is my hobby/sport. It helps make splurges a little easier to handle in my mind (like this). I just wanted it to be perfect if that makes sense . . . But I had no idea as to what perfect would be.

My birthday is 7/2 and I had told my husband I wanted to do something special . . . We see the Coney Island Cyclones every year to celebrate (we live 5 subway stops away from Coney Island). In an effort to go big my husband bought Yankee/Mets tickets and even got my name put up on the board (picked by lottery after you make a donation). I told him big meant magical and that to me meant WDW. We spent a nice sum of money to spend only two days in the park but it was truly spectacular. I had hoped to find the bag during our stay but perhaps it turned out better this way . . .

The magic is continued.

May all of our bags be sprinkled with pixie dust.

Hi Everyone,

At the world now. So far, no 40th buckets, wristlets or wallets.

No red stiped bags. Yacht club has had a couple of black striped totes.

No comic satchels, but I've seen all the others.

Mousegears hasn't had a great selection. WOD had a lot of bags, Uptown jewlwers a lot of 40th messengers and a good number of Kristins. Haven't been to Ak or DHS yet ( we spent the last 2 days at universal). Hoping to see a satchel downtown tomorrow or at the Xmas party.

grumpycd, thanks so much for the updated Dooney sightings currently at Disney World With all the rumors of no more 40th anniversary bags going to be available in the parks along with your report, I am extra glad I ordered the 40th bucket bag on-line when Disney shopping was having their Magical Monday discount It is due to arrive tomorrow and I am really antsy about my placement So far it seems like everyone has been blessed with great placement and I am hoping that continues for me and all the others who are anxiously awaiting our new Dooneys

We all look for different images that appeal to us and that is what makes the Disney Dooneys so very special It is the same reason that Walt Disney World has so many different resorts ~ not all resorts appeal to all people but that is what makes the world interesting Congratulations on your two super new Dooneys

I love the pink. I think it is prettier in person than in the pictures. I'm not a huge pink girl either, but it really works on this bag. I think it's a perfect shade an not too "girly" pink, if that makes any sense.
