I'm glad mine shipped today. Little sad though that after I ordered the Disneyland anniversary crossbody that they finally started selling the Disney land bag online. Owell I am just happy to have one!

We've been using that code all year and NOW it's not valid on the dooneys ?!?!?

When I clicked on the link on DS.com, sure enough it said, not valid on dooney and bourke,,,,etc.....

For those of you who own the Kristen, can it be used as a shoulder bag?

I really wanted it to work as a shoulder bag, but it just didn't. I even tried folding the top in a bit, and you can easily do that, but I still didn't like the way it felt on my shoulder. So for me the answer is no.

But I know other people have said it works fine for them. IIRC Kathy even posted a picture of it on her shoulder.
Sorry, no idea where in the thread that pic is though.

So I guess my answer is maybe, maybe not.

I did post a pic of it on my shoulder some time back on the fb page. It worked great on my shoulder but I think it depends on size. The straps are not long and I am pretty small on top so it works for me, but others if they are more broad shouldered it isn't as easy to use on the shoulder. Hope that helps

Thanks, Kathy I did see the picture and unfortunately, I don't think the straps will work for a shoulder bag for me I love the straps on the bucket style but am not sure if it is big enough for all I carry I am torn between trying my luck with the placement fairies (I am pretty picky about placement) and ordering now with the familyfun20 discount or waiting until I go next April so I can pick my own bag Then I run the risk of the 40th anniversary bags not being available or not in stock in the stores

I need some good luck pixie dust from my fellow Dooney dissers.... I have spent the past 3 weeks trying to get my 40th Kristen tote replaced because the stitching has come undone. I have been talking to Sharon at customer service and she has been overly nice in trying to find me the placement as close to what I have but we have had no luck. I will be going to the world next week and will be looking for a replacement so I need a little luck from y'all in hopes of exchanging my Kristen. I have decided that I will keep this one even with the flaw if I dont find one I love. Disney was very nice though in offering to pay for the repair but after visiting the shoe repair places in my town, it can't be repaired.

Just wanted to add that they did not have any comic satchels at the MK yesterday. Mouse Gears at Epcot did not have them this afternoon. I did see two at Hollywood Studios this evening. Not sure if they had more in back as the display there is pretty small.

Hi Everyone! I am so excited that Disney Store online finally has the WDW 40th Anniversary crossbody bags back in stock.

I saw it online early in the year and loved it. However, since we had a trip to the World coming up in June, I decided to hold off. Well, they were sold-out in every store I went into. They had a few of the Kristen totes in stock, but both the bag and the price tag were bigger than I wanted.

I have been looking for the x-body bag online fairly regularly (about once a week) since we got back and haven't seen them available until today. I used the free shipping code and the FB code for 20% off.

Been checking for the past week for the 40th anniv. messenger bag, and today they are showing up in stock. I can get a better deal from DS.com than just going over to the park after work to pick it up, and with the free shipping code, I jumped on the order. I also picked up the sketch wristlet to use with the sketch bag that I bought 2 years ago and never used. The black balloon barrel is my favorite, and I just picked up the 55th anniv bucket bag (it came last monday from DS.com, again a great deal) but I miss the multiple pockets that the barrel has. I am not fond of using the key fob string, so I need to rethink where to put my keys in the bag (until the new one comes, lol). Doing the happy dance!
