ok, can I just say that you ladies ARE THE BEST!! I've been contemplating my first Disney D&B (but not my first D&B) and I really liked the look of the Erica bag (in pink), even though I know its one of those "love or hate it" bags....

but, after reading through the thread and finding out I can use the 20% off code, AND since the bag is on sale, Im getting it right this second!! and with the free shipping..the bag is like $103.99 - they are practically begging me to take this bag...

I was going to have DH get one for me, but he's too slow.... he can just wrap it for me when it gets delivered to the house!!

I'm a little worried about the placement on this bag. I don't want upside down minnie bows. I've always been very lucky with the bags I've ordered from DS.com, so hopefully that will continue!

I am hoping I get a new one for Christmas... I asked for one of the sketch crossbody bags since they didnt have the 40ths on ds.com when it was black friday! Otherwise I probably would have asked for that

In the WDW area this week - the only place I've seen the comic satchel is TrendE. The other comic bags are available at WoD and Uptown Jewelers/MK (and probably other places too, just haven't visited them). I definitely like the print and styles more in person than in pictures. The pink barrel is really cute but I'm not sure that size will work for me, it's a little small. Uptown Jewelers had a pretty good selection of 40th anniversary styles too, and sketch.

Ok, I'm taking cough medicine and super tired, but I just read that as almost packed and fairly undressed! For a moment I was wondering if you had packed everything in the house.

I have to say, when I opened the package with my new bag today I was a bit disappointed to see the upside down bow in the middle of the front panel. But, I really like how the pattern of the bag is really consistent. There are no big blank spaces like you sometimes see in the other patterns. And, there's more right side up bows than upside down ones overall.

A little funny for the morning:

I placed the order for my bag very early on the morning of the 5th. I went back online that evening and ordered t-shirts, Hanukkah banners and pajamas for my son. Both orders qualified for free shipping.

I received a shipping notice for the second order yesterday. I decided to call this morning and check on my Dooney -- much more important than some PJ's and shirts of course.

I spoke to an elderly female cast member. She looked at the order with the bag and nicely explained that free shipping means 10+ days. Not a problem I said -- but then why did the second order ship first?

She pulled it up and no joke -- started cackling. She was beside herself. She could NOT believe that my order with free shipping placed on the 5th, shipped on the 8th and was due to arrive on the 12th. You would have thought she was a little girl on Christmas morning she was so beside herself. She told me she would be sharing this momentous occasion with all of her other cast members.

And as for my Dooney -- that is coming from WDW so the best estimation is the 10 - 12 days.

She thanked me for making her day. I told her it was nice to be able to sprinkle some pixie dust on a cast member as so many had done it for me.

Now maybe this will buy me some good karma and my bag will ship soon

Yay! My 40th Anniversary bags arrived today! I was worried (well, worried may be a strong word) that I would have to wait until next week to see them since I had the shipment sent to my office.

No pictures to post, but I am happy with the placement:

Cross-body: No Epcot logo to be found (which made me a little sad, since I love Epcot.) However, there is a nice, full, unobstructed "Walt Disney World" right across the bottom third of the bag. The back has the big map (full view), Animal Kingdom logo, and other bits & pieces.

Wristlet: Ah, there's my Epcot logo! A little cut-off at the bottom, a little covered by the snap, but right on front I also have a smattering of this and that on the front - Pluto's legs and autograph, the top half of Goofy, a Mickey stopwatch... On the back is the purple Magic Kingdom logo. Actually, you can only see the part that says "Magic" but at least it is right in the middle... "Kingdom" is covered by the Dooney label. I mean, if it has to be covered, at least it says Dooney & Bourke....

Here are my shipping stats: Ordered 12/04 (very late at night), shipped 12/07, arrived in NJ 12/09.

I used the free shipping code and have a message into Guest Services to see if I can get a credit since a better discount came out just hours after I submitted my order.
