Gosh, all this talk makes me want a new bag! This is bad, bad news for my husband!
Just heard from a friend who is in WDW ande he picked me up a 40th anniversary Kirsten!! He got it in MouseGear so if they were sold out, they already got more in stock. He had it shipped home to hopefully I'll have it sometime next week!!
I may have to stop coming to this thread though! I'm serious! I've never spent more than like $30 for a bag before...I can't believe that I am about to shell out $277 for this bag!! (10% discount with Visa plus shipping)
this messenger on ebay has terrific placement!

too bad the seller is charging alot over retail for it
Sheila add me to the list. I too would like to see the bucket style bag on your shoulderI have been so tempted to buy it a 40th anniversary bag on ebay. One seller had reasonable prices. I requested pics of the bags he/she has available. As of today no response to my request. I do not want to buy from "a stock photo". Reason why I don't order from disneyshopping or WDW merchandising.
I'm sorry the seller did not get back to you with picturesI really don't think that it is too much to ask, especially since the placement varies so much
I got my Wonder tote from Disney shopping but I don't think that pattern matters as much as the other patterns such as the sketch, the Disney Land 55th and the Disney 40th
I can't wait to pick out my pattern for the 40th when we go the end of April

Since the 40th anniversary print is already for sale in the parks, I guess it's safe to assume that they will not be doing a "special release event" like they have done in the past. I was hoping to get a cosmetic bag in the 40th print for my bday present![]()

It's actually roomier than I expected. I can fit my iPhone, chapstick, debit card and drivers license in it and there is still room.

You're not alone! I had never bought an expensive purse before and I'm a little embarrassed to say how many I bought in a year. This thread is addicting too, we are enablers.
Sheila, I think the bucket style is a good size. Seems to have long enough handles. What do you find yourself using more often, the messenger or the bucket style?
just came back! treated myself to this.....

Lisa the bag from the disneyshopping website the characters are indeed cut off. Not saying yours would be cut off, but that would be a gamble you would be taking by ordering it. Of course, just my opinion.Do you think that I could order this from disneystore.com and be assured that I would get at least one Mickey, one Minnie, and one castle (without any of those things being cut off or covered by leather)? I'm thinking since it's so big, you would definitely get one of each at least. What did the ones you saw in WDW look like? Did they all seem to have good placement as far as the things I mentioned? Thanks!
That's for sure!
Hey Liza, here's my really long DL55 handbag story:
I just had to have one of the larger bags from the DL 55 collection when they were first released. I loved the look of the Kristen bag, but I'm all about shoulder bags, so I knew I wouldn't use it much, and I couldn't talk DH into letting me keep it as a display piece.
So I sold my Kristin bag.
Then I got the Messenger bag, even though I knew it wasn't a good fit for me either. I'm OK wearing small bags cross body, but I felt like the messenger was too big for that, and I didn't like the strap that came with it for over the shoulder. So I found an authentic D&B leather shoulder strap to use with it. I liked that look much better, but I still never used it because I don't like flap closure bags.
So I sold my Messenger bag, extra strap and all.
Now I have the Bucket bag and I do think it's a much better size and style for me; but to be honest, I haven't used it yet either.
I've been waiting to see if the other style DL55 bag they had posted on the website for awhile ever comes out. I'm begining to think it won't though, especially since they've removed it from the website. Maybe I should go ahead and take the tags off the Bucket bag and actually use it one of these days. Ya think?![]()
Great wristletDid you get it on eBay or through Disney shopping? I can see you love Tinker Bell and the castle as much as I do because my blue wristlet also has 3 Tink's and 3 castles
and looks pretty similar

Have you tried calling disney merchandise at WDW and see if you can order the overnight bag being sold at the parks? The ones I saw had mickey, minnie, tink, and castle in complete view. There are two good Mickey's on the side of the bag that shows on the website. If the other side doesn't have any kind of pocket on it, there's a good chance there would be good placement on the other side. Does anyone know if there is a pocket on the other side?
