Oooh, the new patterns are cute.

We were at WDW last week and I was "casually" looking for a letter carrier in maybe pink or purple. (I couldn't go too hardcore with the search because I drove DH nutso in January looking for *the* perfect tassle tote). Anyway, all I could find were blue and green. Never made it to DTD so maybe they were all hiding out there -- I looked in MK, DHS, GF, YC and BW.

I was just in DTD and bought the new design in the black satchel style! They're really nice in person. Tren-D was the only store I saw them in. WOD had every color letter carrier and wristlet and some of the old styles. Only saw 2 of the new denim bags in there, none at WOD. The prices are as follows:
Black balloon satchel: $220
Black balloon drawstring $225
Large white balloon: $225
White balloon wristlet: $49
The satchel style like I got is about twice as big as the princess satchel and $5 less. It's a pretty good size bag. I'll be posting pics to the facebook page of my bag.

I was at Tren-D today to get some pictures for the blog and loved these in person. It's definitely on my list for a birthday present! I love the drawstring. I'm bummed I didn't see the peace love mickey one there at all tho. We were there around 10am...they must've brought more out after we left.

Edited to add: Also, does anyone know how much the peace/love/mickey/minnie one is??

I'm not sure why the price difference but I'm not complaining!! Lol I'm glad it's a bit cheaper and not even more expensive.
The bag is approximately 12" long, 9" tall, and 6" deep.

hmm, gotta be honest here. i dont like thw white balloon pattern, it looks cheap to me! (maybe it looks better in person?) the black looks okay, still not in love with it... and the peave love mickey bags ...still really not sure. nothing is reaching out and saying "this is AWESOME!" to me

thanks for the measurements. it looks like the satchel would be a great size and i noticed it has a shoulder strap as well. i don't think the princess ones had that strap, but not sure. i think i have seen the new shiny finish on the new dooney bags at the dept. stores. ( not disney patterns, just signature db) gotta love disboards. we are always the first to know all the important news!

I'd say the white balloon style is similar in size to the medium sketch tote.

Oh crud, I don't like the white balloon, but I LOVE the black balloon!!! I am going back in January on a much more limited than normal budget. I was so hoping for no new purses. I am totally going to be in trouble if I see that black on in person LOL.

ok, im glad im not the only one! we already had the sketch pattern with the mickey balloons. i dont really feel like thats a "new" pattern. and its just less magical somehow! the other prints just felt more special to me!

I checked at both Vault 28 and WoD tonight and no denim writing or balloon bags yet. I believe DL was a bit behind WDW getting the colored sketch bags too though. I bet the new ones will be in by the time you get here.


Look what I did find though:

Yep, a checkbook wallet in the DL 55 pattern.
It's a bit pricey at $175, but it's very nice! I'll take a few more photo's and put them up on the facebook page.
