Hey out there! If anyone has been to World of Disney @ DTD lately, did they have a large selection of the new color sketch letter carriers??
I am not going to be there till aug 27th and I need to add one of these babies to my collection!!! I hope I can get the 10% off with a disney visa Lotsa wishing and hoping

I can't decide what color is my favorite!

We arrive the 27th also, so I'll cross my fingers with you!! If I scrounge up one of the 20% off coupons from a receipt, I may have 2 more in my future,so I don't have to try to decide between the two I want LOL.

Yes it does. Thank you. My mom got me the tassle tote sketch for my birthday but I agree that it is too small for everyday use. I bought a purse liner/organizer thingy to put inside of it and it has slots for credit cards and my cell phone becasue my wallet just barely fit in the sketch tassle tote.

Off to ebay to look for Wonder bags.

I wanted one of those Harveys bags, too. They are sold out and only a few are on ebay. Guess I'll wait until the new Disney styles come out in 2011. A friend of mine said they are really heavy, though? I need a decent size to carry all my crap.

I got the messenger bag a couple of months ago. I wanted the black and white Disney one, but they were not sure if they would be getting it back in stock. For what I put in it, the weight is ok to me.

On Monday they had the tote, and messenger at clothiers, emporium, and the watch shop in DL. Didn't look in DCA, but i'd imagine they might have it in greetings. I would stick to vault if you can, they have the best display and most to look at.

Earlier in this thread, someone mentioned that they had been told by a salesperson that purses like the Sketch material should be kept in a dust bag, not a plastic bag, to avoid discoloration . . .

Since our Disney Dooneys did not come with dust bags, do you think storing them in a clean 100% cotton pillowcase would work?

TIA for any advice/opinions!

SUNNIERN- I didn't see your posting when I wrote this... so I'm putting it up in here, editing it, so I don't have like a hundred postings right after one another...
You are so very welcome, you are going to be soooo excited when you see the ears!!! I do truly think the 55th bags will be limited edition... I don't know that, but I just have a feeling they will be. Oh yes, a 4 parks bag would be really cool with all the features and logos from all the parks. Good idea! We do really need to email Disney Dooney people and say listen, these are what we want, now create them and we will sell them!!! HAHHA

To everyone who loves NMBC...here is a pic of me and the hubby last year at MNSSHP. Yes we will be going again this year, in the same costumes!!! It was so fun, it's like being a disney celebrity!!! Jack is HUGE on the west coast, not quite as much on the east, so people were freaking out. We had a blast!!!

Oh my goodness sake!!! Fabulous costumes!! Had to bump this up in case anyone missed it on the other page!!! My daughter is now determined to talk my son in law into dressing up this way. (Good luck on that one). Thank you for posting such a great picture!! I wish they did the Haunted Mansion layover at WDW also!!

LOL see, I like your idea about letting dis'ers sell their bags! Heck we could design AWESOME merchandise that would sell across the boards. T's, jewelry, pins...... you get the idea!!

hawky7, great photo. That is amazing to get the castle with really no one else in it. If you enjoy halloween and costumes, you should go to Tokyo Disneyland one year for their halloween event. It is unlike anything I have ever seen. They really go all out. I was there in 2008 and it was amazing.

SunnieRN, I too wish they do more limited editions. Like the art work. I would love to see a Disney Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo bag. I would think it would go over very well in Tokyo and they could put a Duffy Bear on it. Now that would sell. We thought the line on Sat for Dooneys as long. Guest in Tokyo will wait 8 hours to get into a store selling the new Duffy items. I am amazed at the dedications. Not sure I would wait 8 hours even though the items are so cute.

My ignorance is showing, so I am off to look up Duffy bear. I will admit I waited up all night in DCA on Disneys 50th birthday. (Along with thousands of other crazed people.) Give the public what they want and they will spend!! Just think, we could fund our shopping/Disney addictions if they would let us be in charge of merchandising!!

Hey that was me... yes the pillowcase is perfect. The saleswoman told me that is what she uses and doesn't even use the dust clothes that they come with. For some reason I assumed these bags came with dust clothes ...so use 100% cotton, they need to breathe!

I think they sell certain styles at DW. I ordered these from their website. They do sell out on their website, but on their blog new designes are scheduled to come out next year

Aww thanks!!! My hubby sweat at least like 5 gallons of sweat both nights we went. They were having a heat wave (big surprise) and with the heat index, I think it was like 105 degrees, and that helmet (as I like to call it) mask is like 1/4 inch pure plastic. He was a good sport. I will be honest, my husband is a great sport, he puts up with all my disney obsessions, even though he doesn't really love it like I do. I think he secretly liked being Jack though, he was like a celeb!!! People were like OMG OMG JACK SKELLINGTON , can I get a pic with you, and he'd be like oh and with Sally too, and then they'd be like uhhh I guess. HAHAHA OUCH!
But it is now my FAVORITE disney thing to do. We did it twice last year, and I'm making him go twice again this year!
