Okay, so the coated cotton is the white original ones right? And the basic cotton is the like blue and pink ones that are on sale?? I just am not sure of the difference. From the pics in the store (same as online just bigger and easier to see) it looks just like the pink and blue ones. But I am not positive. I will let you guys know tomorrow! I'm going to try and get a pic in the store if I can. It might be too insane!!

Yes, coated cotton is the Sketch purses and the cotton fabric, not coated, is the pink and blue purses. If the 55 print is the non coated then I'm in for getting one.

Where do you see pics of the new print in the store?

I've only seen the same picture as online. But the version of the pic in the store is blown up so it is easier to see.

Which bag do you want if that is the fabric?? So all the other styles are coated right?? The new pink, purple, green and teal versions of the originals? That is the kind that discolors?

The response I got on the Disney Parks blog indicated the Disneyland bags are a coated cotton bag, like the sketch/wonder bags.

The blue mickey faces and the pink minnie faces that are currently on sale are fabric. The brown one is also fabric.

The sketch and the new colored sketch bags are coated cotton. The new DL ones are probably coated cotton as well, but not sure.

I have coated cotton bags that are colored (non-disney version) and they have never discolored. I had one that is white with blue bumble bees on it - very similar to the sketch that discolored after I stored it in my closet for a couple of months. I honestly think it had something to do with it getting hot, but not sure.

Oh tanya, great point!!! I just thought of this... bags are NOT meant to be stored in boxes, and should be stored in 100% cotton, or the dustbag "will do". those are the exact words from the louis vuitton girls, after I sent my husband in to get me a new box to store my new LV in. He said they were like no , no, no!!! And she said if you store it wrong, it will discolor. So maybe that will help!! But do not store them in boxes, she said she uses her grandmas old cotton pillow cases. So maybe try that. The bags have to beathe, if they can't they will discolor. That is the lesson we learned from louis vuitton. should apply to all bags. Makes sense when you think about it...look at what color we turn when we can't breathe.

I think the 2nd # above is just a general Disney mail order line, but I understand you can choose Disney Store/Catalog merchandise, DL exclusive merchandise, or WDW merchandise.


My guess is that you'll have to wait until after the Vault 28 launch on Saturday to order, but I haven't seen anything that indicates the DL pattern is a limited edition.

I think cosmetic case...it is going to be a long time before I get in. There is still 23 people in front of me. When one person leaves, they let one in. So only 4 can be in the store at a time. Hope I make it into the park today...hahaha...

Hahaha, I wish!!! There are still 17 people in front of me!!! But there is a fellow diser behind me!!! She's like some lady on the disboards was offering to buy them for everyone, and I'm like yep that would be me. and she's like ohhh you're hawky7...hahahah.
