Oh look....me again-

So maybe checking a bag really is the best idea. Everyone already knew they'd be paying tax, so we won't have to worry about the million dollars in disney shipping fee. But would you guys mind chipping in for the checked bag? It's $20 each way on Alaska Airlines?? I just want to know in advance, otherwise, I'm not going to check a bag...

From what I have heard Vault 28 will be the only store to have then on July 17. The days after other stores may have them. I'm not sure what day the other stores will start carrying them.

They are in the stores now, I believe this one runs $155 in the stores. I got mine from eBay since they put these out a couple of days after we left, i was lucky enough to have a 20% off coupon for eBay so I got mine for about $144 shipped

I think the 2nd # above is just a general Disney mail order line, but I understand you can choose Disney Store/Catalog merchandise, DL exclusive merchandise, or WDW merchandise.


My guess is that you'll have to wait until after the Vault 28 launch on Saturday to order, but I haven't seen anything that indicates the DL pattern is a limited edition.

My guess is that you will be able to order them directly through Disney, but probably not until after launch weekend.

I think Hawky7 is working with Janell to pick up bags for Dis-ers; I just don't know if they're making a specific order list, or if they're buying a bunch of bags and sorting out details later. It sounds like transporting/shipping could be tricky, but Hawky7 mentioned having a 20% off coupon, so even if you have to add extra for that, you might still come out ahead.


I mentioned earlier in the thread that if someone really "needs" one of the bags, I would be glad to help too - but with caveats.

I'd be glad to try and meet a general pattern placement request, but with the understanding that I'd be limited to how flexible they are with that at Vault 28, and of course to what they have available.

I'd only want to buy a bag for someone who knows they want it. I don't sell on e-bay anymore, and I don't want to trek back and deal with a return next week.

I let my AP expire, so I don't get the 20% discount Hawky7 does.
I live in CA, so that means paying the full 8.750 tax rate.
I'm not planning on getting to Vault 28 until mid morning, and I'm not going back later in the day to try to get the gift w/purchase.

Actually the GWP is probably one per transaction anyway, not one per bag, so that could be tricky for anyone buying more than one bag. I doubt that they would let one person, who is buying a bunch of bags, ring each one up individually to get more than one gift - but I don't know. Of course the same applies to receipts. I assume that if you have someone else purchase a bag for you, you would not have a receipt. Something else to think about.


If the interest on this thread is any indication, it seems like the new Disneyland pattern may be a score for DB and Disney.

I left my coupons at home I always change bags when we come and I totally left them in the other bag. Sad. So I'm checking a bag, and that means everyone will be paying their own tax and shipping, and chipping in a few bucks for the checked bag fee.

Still not sure if they have a limit, the guy said they don't, but I'm afraid when he sees how many I'm buying, they might decide there is.

Yes the GWP is one per guest, not bag, or even transaction. So sorry to say ladies, I'm keeping the GWP with my bag.

The statement they are giving about the bags at DL is that they will be sold at other dl stores, the days following the event. There is no mention of if it is limited to those days or would be offered for the entire 55th anni year.

Also vault 28 says they are not doing phone orders on the 17th, I'm not sure if they will be after that, but the guy specifically said you had to be at the event and they wouldn't be doing orders.

GODALEJUNIOR- which bag did you want. I'm not picking up any other totes, bag is fairly full on those, since they are the biggest. PM if it is something else. Janell might be able to help you on the tote if that's what you want.

Since these cost more than the other prints I am going to hold off. I have the other prints in the canvas fabric and took a chance on those with the potential discoloring thing. Worried about this being the same fabric coupled with the spendy part...:

I also have some fabric bags. Not the coated cotton, but the fabric prints and so far they have held up fabulously! They are about 2 years old and look as good as the day that I got them and I have put them through a lot.

My fabric bags are great as well...it's the coated cotton that I've not had good luck with...had two bags ruined. Feel like I rolled the dice with the Disney prints...not sure I want to keep doing so. I am really hoping all of you go tomorrow and it's a different material then the Sketch fabric.
