Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

My husband has a conference in early November. I found flights but can't convince myself to pay $200 per flight for a 3 day trip. It's also my son's bday and we surprised him last year with a trip. Of course, he would rather go to Universal for Harry Potter. I would rather go the whole week for thanksgiving, but doubt my husband can go during that week.

But, I wish I could go just to be able to pick my own disney dooney. If all else fails, I'll have my husband buy them for me.

It definitely looks like the pattern has been shrunk. I do find it weird that they used one without Minnie, she was a big hit. But it definitely looks easier to find a good Mickey. Makes you wonder if our placement obsession figured in. Maybe they're finding themselves with a lot of rejects due to poor placement.

I'm hoping there are plenty to see in different sizes in December. I'm going to use all my willpower to wait until we go (I'm going to try at least).

I was thinking the same thing, that maybe they were trying to fix it so most of the pattern can fit on the bag. That might alleviate people driving them nuts asking to return or exchange or to bring out more bags to compare, etc. Good point about them possibly being stuck with a lot because everyone wants good pattern placement.

That is crazy. For $240 one could almost buy one letter carrier and two wristlets!

Don't feel bad if you can't find a first edition bag. I was there in December and there were tons of them. I thought the second edition was much cuter( has Minnie and is a better design IMHO) and that is what I bought along with a black barrel bag with the multicolored mickeys and 4 wristlets...I'm so bad!

I do like the purple letter carrier....will be looking to pick that up this December!

it is true .. however, someone already has some on ebay for MUCH lower (aka like $10 above retail plus shipping) so the person who has them for $285 is about to be sitting on those (plus LOTS of HIGH seller fees!)

HOLY WOW that is ALOT Of money for that wristlet ... even with REALLY good Mickey placement, its still not worth THAT much!

I have not gone back and read all the pages of this thread, but I wanted to let you know that on several occassions last week while we were at WDW, we got receipts that had a 20% coupon at the bottom. The stipulation was they had to be used before noon at select stores. I used it on a small Mickey D&B tote. Not sure what the style is called, but it saved me quite a bit. Be on the lookout for the coupon. They seem to come at random, but we ended up with about 6 of them during the week. I know one came from Casey's. Another was from one of the food places from Typhon Lagoon. Good luck! Not sure how long they are going to be out there, but hope you get one!

The yellow bags in the photos here seem less vibrant than the ones in the photos on eBay. I wonder how yellow the yellow is in person? If it looks like it does in the eBay photos, I kind of like it better than the pink now.

I love the style of the new letter carrier, but am waiting to see a bigger photo on my laptop when I am home before I decide about the new color options. I am sad they were not out a couple of weeks ago, would have loved to see them in person! And get the AP discount. Oh well... Thanks for sharing the great pictures!
