DH just surprised me with a "Hey, let's plan a trip to the World for Sept!" . . . he really is my Prince Charming!

I'd love it if they had some new styles out while we were there . . .

He upgraded us to the Poly a few weeks ago for our Sept Anniversary trip and he saw me looking at this thread, he knows I LOVE purses (Im a coach addict normally) so he says, you should get one on our first day when we go to DTD before we check into the resort! Now to decide if I go straight to Tren D to get it or WOD? Which has the better selection?

Also what is the price for the medium sketch tote still $160?

I would go to WOD- their selection was much better than Tren D, and the CM's were more helpful when I was there in May, I will be going back in July for the Wonder Wristlet- I believe prices have not changes except for the Tonal 3 zip bag went from 75$ to $90 -I almost bought it for mother's day but went with the Wonder Barrel bag- I don't think the 3 zip desereved such a price hike. I will be on the Wonder in Nov and can't wait to check out the DCL bags.

im still debating the blue and white mickey faces purse but dont like that its canvas .. i will get it sooo dirty! but i want a new bag and im getting tired of all this waiting and we dont even know if there will be any more prints DANG IT!

If you have a Disney VISA card you can get their discount at that store on any purchase over $50. Can't get the VISA discount at Tren-D.

You are sooo lucky!!! I just got back from my vacation last week & was supposed to get one, but my husband said no. I was really disappointed (I know it sounds dramatic, but I seriously almost cried right in the middle of DTD!!!) I'm usually not this obsessed with purses, but I love Disney and Dooney so if you put the two together

Anyway, I would suggest going to WoD because they have a much, much better selection. They have more designs than Tren-D and more of each design to choose from. I saw a few girls at WoD asking a CM to go into the back to get more to choose from & he came back out with a huge selection for them! They are behind the counter, but the CM's at WoD were great & seemed more than willing to get more choices from the back room if the girls wanted them. They both ended up buying a Sketch!

At Tren-D, there were 3 CMs working behind the counter & the purses were all on separate shelves behind the counter (up on the wall). They had all of the designs there. Out of all the places I saw Dooneys, I think Tren-D had the biggest variety of styles, but they only had a few of each design. The other stores all had tons & tons of each design. When I was at DHS, they had mostly Wonder tassel totes or the small barrel bag. They only had like 2 of each style. I also noticed another store at DHS (the first store on the street by Tower of Terror) that had them, but mostly only Sketch totes & they didn't have that many of them. I noticed at MK, they had TONS of the Sketch totes (both sizes). I think of any pattern, it was the hardest to spot Wonders but there were still plenty. People on here were making it sound as if the Dooneys were beginning to be very limited in the parks...far from true! They were absolutely everywhere!

Anyway, to answer your question, I would vote for going to WoD at DTD because they had a large variety & the CMs were great. Although, if you're planning to get a Sketch tote, try MK first. They had some great placement there!

I really want the sketch, altho if they come out with a new design you just never know, anyway I dont have any dooneys yet except for a wallet, I want a signature D&B but the prices just over whelm me! We have a coach outlet so I get coach purse for like $100! So..when it comes down to it I may change my mind. I saw a really cute mickey purse last Sept all over WDW I wish I would have gotten that I would also be really happy with that was $15. I just want something mickey to carry in the parks, you know?
Im also checking ebay for a D&B signature backpack..

I really hope you get your disney dooney soon, I hated reading your dissapointment and even read it to my DH..

It was absolutely no problem at all to give you all that information! Its so much easier to find out from someone who has just been to WDW! I know I got a TON of info on DIS before my trip, so I want to help others as much as possible with what I learned during my trip.

I know what you mean about the Coach outlet, I've heard they have great deals!!! We have one about 15 minutes from where I live...can you believe that I've never been inside it? I know, its crazy! lol I visit the outlet mall probably at least once a month with my mom (we love their baby stores!) but I've never gone to Coach. Maybe I should stop by since you mentioned getting a nice bag for around $100. Sounds like an awesome deal to me! Thanks for the info! I love purses, but usually just shop local sales...I got one at JC Penney that was regularly $89 for $17.49. I did buy myself a Dooney (it was the black signature bag with the multi-colored print DB) and a matching wallet, but they cost around $125 together so it was one of their cheaper purses. I also used to have a couple Coach bags, but sold them all after I lost my job due to the poor economy a few years back.

I completely understand what you mean! I love the expensive purses but I'm ok with just a regular bag as well. I'm still really hoping to get my Disney Dooney sometime before the end of the year. I have family going down this fall so I'm hoping to save up some $$ and let them pick out a Sketch tote for me! We'll see...

Good luck finding all of the bags that you are looking for! Ebay is excellent for finding Dooneys. I was in search of a particular print once & couldn't find it anywhere, but I did find it on ebay. Oh, and before I forget, they have a few different VERY cute Mickey designs on tote bags & hobo purses at all of the Disney stores! I saw them mostly at Tren-D and at the Hollywood Studio stores on the street adjacent to Tower of Terror. They have a white hobo bag with black Mickey heads (I think it cost around $25??) and a multi-colored bag with Mickey heads. I think throughout my trip (besides the Dooneys) I saw at least 12 different Mickey bags, so you may find something else as well!

Well, my tan D&B zipper bag finally got dirty. I got a Clorox wipe and scrubbed the area, after it was dy, it was as good as new. I had heard their fabrics were protected, and I can now vouch for that!

I have a pink stain on the bottom corner of my Sketch Cindy tote. I think it may be from a water bottle spill inside my bag (ugh!). I think the color may have stained the outside of the bag (no water stains on the inside though). Anybody have any ideas how I might be able to clean it w/o damaging it?

MY DD had the signature backpack & decided she didn't want it anymore. She took it to a second hand shop & they gave her only $15 for it. She is only 17. When I found out about it, I was pizzed to say the least. I called up that shop to get it back & they said they could not do that. I threatened to call the police on them since they purchased from a minor & they said they were allowed to do that. I am still upset over it. This happened back in Dec....

wdw and dlr both sell them. i believe the discount is 20% off for AP holders only.

That is correct for DLR. Premium passholders get 20% but other passholders get 10% until September (usually it is 10% for Premium and no discount for other passes).
