Can anyone comment on hoe shiny the new balloon bags are? I saw some of the Shiny It collection in person today and now I'm a little concerned...so tempted to order the Margot but I wish it was the regular material...

I held one of the drawstring bags at WDW this weekend. I really like the material--in black anyway--no clue what the white will actually look like. I think it will be quite durable and hold up nicely. It's a great look, and I like it better (the material) than the original.

On a side note--I worry about my large tote in the original white sketch as I have a small wristlet and it's turned a bit yellow just in the closet in a protective sleeve. The large tote hasn't turned, but I plan to use the heck out it before it does. That would make me mad--$200+ dollars and it yellows! Grr!!

Thanks! I feel better. I saw a white DB shiny pattern and wasn't loving it, but the Disney ones might be nicer. This one looked dirty.

I've been staring at the screen for so long and I'm trying to decide which design I want!!! It is such a hard decision. I am going to WDW in January and was planning to pick one and purchase then---but I don't think I can find this big of savings when I am there! However, I really want to see them in person to figure out the size, positioning, etc.

What to do? What to do???

Does anyone know the Dooney return policy at all? I am sure they are non-refundable, right???

i ordered the susanna tote a few days ago but am going back this morning for the mini margot in black .. it is one heck of a deal! i just signed up for ebates but i dont really understand how it works?

Ebates is just a website directory that lists all these sites and any discounts they might have in one place. Stores pay them to list their info and links and every time they get a sale, the site (ebates) gets a kickback from each purchase. Ebates passes along some of that kickback to the consumer...it's like mypoints or any other site that gives you a kickback, only they give you cash back in the form of 4 checks (one per quarter). I like to shop around to see who gives the best deal but often I just go back to ebates. They often have the best percentage of return and it's cash...granted you have to wait for it, but eventually it comes back to your pocket.

I just got the black Disney balloon satchel this week and it is much shinier than my white Disney sketch bag but I like it. I also got the white balloon wristlet and I don't think that one is any more shiny than the white sketch bag.

I have to say I LOVE the black balloon satchel. I adore the white sketch bag but found myself really missing a zipped up bag. I got the wristlet to use as a wallet at the suggestion of a friend - great idea!

Glad to see you like the black balloon satchel as mine will be arriving in the mail tomorrow! I was thinking about using the cosmetic bag as a wallet, but maybe I will get the wristlet with my "online gift card" credit and use that instead. Thanks for sharing!

Just got an email from the disney store with a $15.00 online credit. It is a "Disney Store Courtesy Letter" and says "Please accept our sincere apologies for disappointing you". Definitely don't think this is the same as the price adjustment that is coming. I think this is due to the fact that I called them and left a message at some point on this past Friday and no one ever called me back. Anyways, just curious if anyone else got this.

I bought mine on Friday with 20% off and called today for a price adjustment. The recording said that because of the sales they were experiencing higher than normal call volume (duh!) and if you were calling about a price adjustment to please email the request to the guest services email address.

Oh now that's just too funny. I did the same thing and sent the email about 20 minutes ago. It will save me $55.00. That's a lot of money. If it were only a couple of dollars I may not have but $55 that will pay for a couple of counter service meals when we go the end of Jan.

So just received my package with my satchel and cosmetic bag! The cosmetic bag is the white balloon print May still use that as a wallet. The satchel is larger than I expected, but a good size to fit an umbrella for days like today, lol. The material feels almost like a ribbed vinyl. The ribs give it the shine, but I don't think it's not overly shiny. I think the material will stay very clean which is good cause I tend to wear my purses out, lol. Let me know if you have any questions.

wow, that was fast! so, you got the black satchel and they sent a white cosmetic? hmmm i thought someone on here mentioned that a cm said there were different colors. honestly, when i pull up my order, it says sketch cosmetic. who knows. it will be interesting to see if they are all white balloon cosmetic bags. anyway, congrats on your new dooney. enjoy it!
