Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

I am so excited to finally be able to say I got a bag! We went to WDW last week, and went in the watch store on Main Street before MNSSHP. I wanted them to look at my watch band because the pins were coming loose, and DH took DD over to the purses while I was at the counter. He comes back and asks which one I liked so I told him, and he comes over with one and says here. I was floored because this was supposed to be a budget trip, but then I asked if I could look at the others to make sure I got the characters where I wanted them. I went through about 10 of them that they had out and this is the one I got.

Then DD wanted one, but no way I was paying that much for an 8 year old so she got this one.

Plus, after the Manager looked at my watch, he decided to give me a brand new one, because it's not normal for the pins to break and come out like they were. I had my original watch for 2 years and was shocked when he told me to pick whatever watch I wanted in the case. He was shocked when I picked the exact one and when he found out I still had the original plastic sticker thing still on the watch face. I told him I take really good care of my things, and he laughed.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to share.

ETA - there were purses all over WDW last week. It seemed like everywhere I turned, there were Disney Dooney Bags, LOL. I saw the new balloon ones in Tren-D, they seemed not as stiff as the sketch one I got. I really like them. The pictures don't do them justice, IMO.

You got very lucky with the watch. I bought a pocket watch for my son that did not work when we got home. I took it back two years later brand new in the package with the reciept and I was told there was nothing they could do because they no longer sold that pocket watch. I brought it to both DTD and the Disney watch store and got the same story at both places.

I know, I was very surprised when he said he would replace it. I just wanted someone to look at it to see if anything needed to be replaced so I didn't lose it while there. I was even willing to pay for the work. He even told me I could pick anything in the case, but I wanted the watch I had. That's too bad that they wouldn't do anything for you. Did you speak with a manager? The person I explained everything to got a manager to find out what could be done.

Yes I did nicely ask to see if a manager could do something more and was told by the manager nothing could be done.

I will take some pictures but it might not be until tomorrow until I can post them. The straps and the way it fits is perfect though-it is good for smaller arms and a little but thicker arms

I dont know if this has been asked and answered (I have tried to keep up) but I have the newish Princess bag (the one with black leather) and it has two metal hoops on the handle areas...one on one side and one on the other and it really seems to me that there should be a long shoulder strap that would attach to them......is there a way of purchasing it separately because I love the bag.....but would love it that much more with a long strap!!

Can anyone tell me where in WOD will I find the Dooney bags? DD's dad is going to try and get a wristlet for me for DD for Christmas and it will be easier for him if he knows exactly where to go!! DD will be with him so hopefully his GF will be able to keep her distracted!

ok, so i am having major dooney confusion here. i tried searching for a photo of the 55th anniversary flap messenger bag being worn on someone, but couldn't find one. does anyone know if there is a photo that would show it on the shoulder (crossbody). also, what does everyone think about the various styles of the 55th anniversary bags. i am not sure about the flap on the messenger and am concerned about the handle length on the tote. also wish wdw would come out with some. what does everyone think?????

I was wondering why the hoops were there but I assumed it was just decoration. I love this bag but would really love a shoulder strap option.

Love the bags. I have the black princess satchel and I'm thinking of getting the black wristlet to match when I'm there in November. Can you tell me, are the princess bags still only available at Trend-D's?

I think Hallowishes posted a pic back when they first came out. I recently got a messenger bag as a gift and I love it. I'm about 5'4" and I had to shorten the strap. I've been using it for about a week. I don't carry as much as I did with the Cindy tote, but that's good and bad. I still need to organize my stuff better, but with the flap I'm less likely to just toss whatever in my bag. The one thing I get concerned over is whether or not the snap will wear on the flap. The magnet seems very strong, I'm not sure if this helped at all...

Does anyone have a picture of the Sketch Cross Body Bag in Purple? Disneystore.com says that they are available in purple, but doesn't have a picture. They do have a picture of the purple wristlet, but they don't have it available to buy.

There are probably quite few scattered throughout this thread, but I know finding them can be a chore!

Here's a pic I posted when someone was trying to decide between blue and purple:

I don't know if this is the case with all of the new ones, but some of them are missing the leather trim on the front pocket. Just a heads up.
