Thanks to thread 1 I got a meduim sketch version 1 on ebay (I love it & use it all the time --I have gotten several comments on it too ) Does anyone know if I can use the 20% discount (from CS meals-printed on the receipt) for a Disney Dooney? I would love to pick up a large black wonder on our trip. TIA

Wow, this thread has been really busy since Monday. I just caught up.

Has anyone heard anything about what is available at DisneyLand? I know there is a store in DTD that carries them. What is it's name?:

i have the sketch tote and wonder tassel and since i , like you , prefer shoulder bags with zippers, i really find i use the wonder tassel tote most. it's a really nice bag, holds quite a bit and the (rainbow) zipper makes me feel more secure about not losing anything. my first love was the white sketch pattern, but i have to say the black wonder pattern is really great to carry, goes with most everything , and is a nice pop of color. good luck!

Do you get any comments on the black wonder bag? I really think I am leaning that way or to wait and see what they come out with next. I really will be happier to have a shoulder bag with a zipper for security. I have the wonder tassel in the first edition. LOVE IT.......but havn't carried it yet. I don't want to get it dirty and running around to food shop and to doctor appts. just didn't seem like the place to carry it. Am I crazy?

I read in another Dooney thread (different site) that someone had gotten an email from Dooney and Bourke about the Disney Dooneys and that there would be new designs coming out about every 3 - 6 months. As the new come out - the old would be retired. So - if this turns out to be accurate, I thin we could expect the next designs to be out somewhere between June and September, since these new designs were released in March.

Ditto. I am leaning towards the black wonder tassle. I really like the white tote but it doesn't have a zip. Thought the campsac would be nice but no longer liking the color. The more I think about the black wonder tassle the more I think that might be the bag for me. I tried it on last December and it fit but thought it was too small. But now I'm feeling purse deprived.

I love that "purse deprived".....wonder.....would that work on my DH? Sweetheart, I am feeling purse deprived, I need another Disney Dooney and Bourke.

I agree it's a lot of money, but wallets really are harder to make which is why it's so much. I just wish they had a ziparound wallet since I NEVER carry checks with me anymore.

I agree there is a lot of work in a wallet. They do wear well, at least all the ones I have had in the past have, if they are leather. I have a black Coach wallet (gift from BGF). It still looks like new.

They should have a program where the more Disney Dooneys we buy the more we save! LOL!

You've been looking in the wrong places. They don't sell the Dooney's at Mousegears or Key Stone. Try Uptown Jewelers MK, Trend D or Sunset Couture at DHS, World of Disney, Summer Lace at the Grand Floridian, or Fittings and Fairings at the Yacht Club. The only place that sells them and takes that 20% coupon is World of Disney. Good luck and happy shopping.

I believe this is refering to the coupon on the back of some counter service food receipts. Be careful and watch the expiration date on it though.

Shopping in my local Disney Store today. Bought some PJs for the kids (2 for $20). I put my new Disney Wonder tote on the counter to get my wallet out and the CM says, "Oh, your the one with the cool Dooney & Bourke bag." I asked her "what?", and she said the other CMs noticed it and said something to her and they all really liked it. It turned into a show and tell at the store.

I can never remember the exact names of the stores. I usually just refer to them by their locations. Sunset Couture is the one right near the Beauty and the Beast show. They had a limited selection last time I was there. If I remember correctly, they didn't have any of the new brown bags. I think they only had the wristlets for the sketch, but no wonder ones.

I was at the Magic Kingdom today and was surprised the Mickey purses have taken over all of the display areas at the Jewelry store that were previously used for pins!! You could touch and try on all of the bags pretty easily there. It would be a good store for people who are undecided about the style than want. World of Disney has them all, but they're behind the counter.

Good luck finding your perfect bag. I'm sure everyone would love to see a picture when you make your purchase.

Went to Disneyland today. They had the navy Mickey print and the pink Minnie print in the store called Fortuosity?? It's the store where the Timepieces used to be. It's sort of a mini TrenD store, connected to the Emporium.

They had the Pouchette style and the Tote styles in each print. You can get a 20% discount here if you have a Premium DL AP (or the Premiere Pass that I upgraded to today!!!) I think other DL APs will get you a 10% discount.

Vault 28 still had just the black wonder print in all styles.

I bought the blue Mickey Pouchette today. I really don't need any more purses!!!! But I couldn't resist getting this. I rejected the first one they brought out from the back (They only have 1 sample of each out in the store. A CM has to call someone to bring a new bag that is wrapped in the shipping plastic, they need to give it to you in it's original bag. ??? I think this will get old.) I rejected it because the leather Dooney patch was covering Mickey's eyes like he was blindfolded. She brought out 3 more, and I found one I liked.

This was the only store today that had the Dooneys in DL and DCA. Last Friday, no place inside the parks sold them. So we are making progress.

Good for you rejecting the purse because of placement. You are paying a fair amount for it, and should be able to get what you want.
