Doodlebops

Thank You for the Thread. I really need to say this:

I Hate Hate Hate the Doodlebops. I have no idea why they bought this show. NO Talent - NO Point.

I can't stand the Doodlebops! Everything from their stupid name to their creepy costumes to their lame songs and nonexistent plots boils my blood! My mom lets my DD2 watch them sometimes, and I must admit it's cute to hear her ask for "doopops please". But she knows better than to ask at our house! At home it's Bear and the Wiggles, no creepy alien weirdos!!

Have you seen the new Playhouse Disney schedule? I think that the creepy Doodlebops are on at 8:30 am (CST) and poor little JoJo has been pushed to 5:30am!!!! I just don't get it! I don't even think Bear (which I think is a GREAT show) or even Breakfast with Bear made the cut.

I guess I'm one of those moms who has a little bit of guilt about my child watching TV. At the very least, I want my child to watch something with some value. JoJo (DD's favorite) has very simple, but effective messages (if you are allergic to merryberries and you eat them, your face will turn red and your nose will puff up...DD, who has an egg allergy, talks about this all the time!). Bear deals with concepts and the Wiggles promote physical activity/dancing. What do the Doodlebops promote....NOTHING!!!

It's so much fun to find some other anti-Doodlebop disboarders! :)

Great picture! I would have been right there stalking with you.

I see that you are in Morris. Did you go to any of the concerts at the Allstate Arena last month? We went to the 5pm show on Saturday. We all loved it! I couldn't believe how much my DD was into it (she just turned 2 in July).

YES! We were at the 5pm show on Sunday! We waited by the stage door and got to meet Murray and Ben Murray. DD5 was thrilled. She was only a baby last time we met them. :cool1:

My youngest DD just turned 2 in June! She really got into it, too! They are so cute at this age.

I am so bad, but I have my 2 yr old trained that as soon as he hears, "The Doodlebops are next!" on the t.v. -- he runs over to the t.v., turns it off, and with a stern face says, "Doodlebops BAD" and runs off and plays in his room.

My 4 yr old will also turn it off or come running and ask me to change the channel for him. He's not as fanatical about turning off the t.v. though as the 2 yr old.

They just grate my nerves.

The Wiggles, however, are welcome anytime!!

Aww, you're so sweet. Thanks!

It was a weird yet exciting Disney experience! Greg asked to hold the baby, but she started screaming, so he said, "Ok, go back to your mum then." Oh, he's so sweet. :lovestruc She really wanted Jeff, I think. See how she's looking his way? :rotfl: And my oldest DD was so in love with Greg that she was embarrassed and wouldn't get out of the stroller.

I'm even more freaking out with jealousy! Greg wanted to hold your baby! Ack! I would be like, "You can hold her AND be her Daddy if you want!"

OK, so I'm totally kidding.

I just showed the picture to DH (he appreciates the Wiggles too) and he wants to know which park is that? He's guessing Epcot.

Oh, and is Ben Murray the really great dancer with the good facial expressions? My kids think he's so funny.

Yeah, who's your daddy? :rotfl2: Ohh, and that pic was at MK.

Well, then I guess it would make you more jealous to know that I've hugged Greg on more than one occasion.

Ben Murray is the cutie-patootie with the hair known as Benhead! :rotfl: That's DD5 on the right.

Um, yeah, totally jealous. Give me a hint how I might score a hug from Greg next time they're in Portland!

Yes, that is the Ben I was thinking of...sometimes blonde, sometimes black hair.

And, I told DH I was certain that was MK, so yay, I win! :teeth:

Yep, you win!!! :woohoo:

Well, I gave all the guys a hug at WDW and just thanked them for all they do. Then I got to hug Greg in Vegas at his solo shows...must find those pics. They aren't on my pc. If you wait at the stage door, you might get lucky and get a pic and/or autograph, and by all means, if you want to give 'em a hug, go for it.

But actually, Greg has been very ill recently. He has been having fainting spells and had to be flown back to Australia and did not finish the tour, so I don't know when he will return. :guilty: From what he posted on the Wiggles message board, it doesn't sound good. He said his tests found something, but he hasn't said what. :sad2:

OH, and I wanted to add that Ben's hair was black for awhile because he was playing Capt. Feathersword in the Dorothy the Dinosaur Show. He looks sooo much better blonde. :thumbsup2

You know, I think you told me about Greg on another thread when I asked about if anyone saw the Wiggles at MGM and someone (you?) said he had to be flown home and Sam Moran took his spot for the remaining shows. Poor Greg....I think he's only my age- 34 or so? What could be wrong? :guilty:

And that's interesting that Ben played Capt Feathersword...is the Dorothy the Dinosaur show a separate thing they tour?

Oh my gosh, I sound like such a freak! :rotfl:

If you're a freak, then so am I. :rotfl2:

I'm sure it was probably me spreading the word about Greg before. Yes, Greg is 34. His birthday is in January, so exactly one year older than me. :sad2:

Yes, the Dorothy the Dinosaur show is a totally separate tour. You can meet Dorothy, Wags, Henry and the Capt. after the show and everything. It is supposed to be really good. The only reason we aren't going is that it is coming to our area the day after we get home from WDW.
