Doodlebops in the parks?

The doodlebops are scary-- I won't watch it either, even though my DD4 likes them too... I love Higglytown though!
::MickeyMo

My girls (esp my youngest) loves Doodlebops. I think DeeDee Doodle (yes, I know their names) is kinda cute but the two guys are just a bit creepy I think. Actually, when I sit and watch with the girls, they make my skin crawl. Just something about them. ;)

Someone above mentioned Daniel Cook....I hate this programming as well. I think that kid is a brat (sorry if someone here magically knows him) and if that is what entertainment has become for children,I'll continue to make up my own for them! :)

Doodle Bops are Canada's revenge to the US and Australia for Barney and The Wiggles. :rotfl:

Now all we need is a counter for Tellie Tubbies.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I agree!!! And I am so happy to know there are others out there that think they are a bit creepy. DS loves them though!

I love the Wiggles. Especially Anthony :)

Hey, now watch it. Anthony is mine!!

I miss him, though. My 2.5yo, who not long ago couldn't get enough of the Wiggles, has moved on to Dora the Explorer. :(

:rotfl2:

What time are the Doodlebops on? I don't think I''ve seen them - but then again my daughter just watches "Bear In The Big Blue House" at 6:30am here on the East coast. And The Koala Brothers after that.

I'll be running with you!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: My DGD watches them , and they make my spine crawl. I can tolerate most of the Disney Playhouse show, even the HigglyTown Heroes, but I hope this one gets cancelled. They are freaky. If anyone knows where merchandise is sold, I'd appreciate the info, as I am going to avoid that store.

Oh, I know you didn't just dis the Hero's. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

We    them

They scare my daughter. She actually yells to shut the TV when they come on. I am not sure who designed the costumes but I think he needs a lot of help.
I mean why doesn't Disney just bring back the Banana Splits!!!!!

Now there was a band that rocked!!!

Never that!!! :goodvibes We always talk about the people in town who are Heros, just like the Higglytown Heroes. My DGD loves them and sing :rotfl2: :rotfl2: along. Oh, no.....I'm starting to sing too!

I know this is slightly off topic, but has anyone ever seen the commercial on Noggin (I know - it's not Disney) about the parents who are humming the theme songs to "Franklin" and that kind of thing? I have to admit to doing that with JoJo's Circus, Higglytown Heroes and Bear in the Big Blue House. I mean, come on, kids shows have cool music now!!! We have fun when the theme songs come on and I will admit to jamming to JoJo's Circus pretty seriously in the van - only when the girls are in there of course!!! :teeth:

Oh, and, I am RIGHT there on the Anthony Wiggle bandwagon. Definitely my vote for hottest Wiggle. Ok, something about that just didn't sound right and I have a feeling typing that will bite me in the rear one day (please don't tell my husband!!) :rotfl:

Oh my goodness! I can't tell you how many SAHMs I've had the "Anthony" discussion with!! I hope he travels with his wife-- otherwise he probably gets mobbed after Wiggles Live by moms everywhere. Oh man, is he ever adorable!

My children know that the TV goes off when the Doodlebops come on. It also shocks me how many of my friends like it. I cannot imagine...

Now Anthony, I can imagine quite clearly!!

Have to say I am dying over the BANANA SPLITS!!!!!!!!!
I loved loved loved that show...but I guess I am also now showing my age...lol

The Doodlebops are scary. Their fingers and hands are creepy looking.

LOL!!! The first time I watched that within the first few seconds I was like what is up with their hands? I wasn't REALLY asking... but immediately my just turned 5yr old was like mommm, they are pretending to not be real- you know, like dolls? LOL

I endure this show every morning because it causes my youngest to wake her little hiney UP so we can get ready for school. If it's not on- she just tries to go back to sleep on the couch instead of waking up (after I put her there letting her morning-cranky self wake up slowly so she'll be less cranky). If it's on- she wakes up to watch it. LOL

It's just like most groups that the kids like- it's the SINGING and dancing that really gets them. Like Barney, like the wiggles, etc. Oh and like higgley town heroes too... I have that song memorized now whether I like it or not. LOL (that's another morning show..) The first time I watched that I couldn't stop singing weebles wobble but they don't fall down... but not anymore... now it's the silly higgly town hero song they sing again and again...

Yes the Doodle bops are too CREEPY! I can't stand their voices...My DD isn't interested in them too much thank goodness!

I keep thinking that they remind me of the DoodleBugs show that was on in reruns when I was little. I think they sang too but they had wings and flew around a lot. :goodvibes

I do like the Wiggles too (Anthony of course!) and I am alittle sad that my 3 and 5 yr olds are no longer interested in them. sigh. Now they remind me of the Monkees! Is Anthony our new Davy Jones???? :teeth:

Hold the phone. There are chicks that dig the Wiggles??? Those are some of the creepiest dudes I've ever seen. Particularly the yellow guy and the purple guy. Please tell me you guys aren't pining for one of them.

Oh my goodness, you would not believe the number of moms out there with secret (or not so secret) crushes on the Wiggles. Even the purple and yellow (my fave) ones.
My ds loved them, but now at 4 he's too big for all that. Luckily my almost 2 y.o. dd is filling in well as the resident Wiggles nut! I don't know what I'll do when she outgrows them!

Never heard of the Doddlebops but a quick look on the internet found their website:
Doddlebops Website

I know that I have not seen them in the park anywhere.

OMG. I just went to the website, and yes, they look very weird.

Even weirder for me, however, was my realization that Bob the Busdriver is a friend of mine!!

Ohhhhh, he's gonna hear about this from me next time I see him... :rotfl2:
