I agree! I will be enjoying the fried chicken and donuts on Wednesday at Homecomin'! Can't wait!!!The donuts at Homecomin' are absolutely amazing. Its not your Krispy kreme style donut but man, they are delicious.
Thank you everyone for the great info! I'm honestly not much of a doughnut eater, but I will admit I was planning on getting the school bread. I'm a total sucker for custard filling... yummm. lol I think we'll probably stick to options at Kringla, since I suspect it will give her what she's really looking for on that point. Also we've got reservations at Homecomin' for brunch on one day, and linner (lunch/dinner) on another day, so I figure she can order them there if she wants. This really was a bunch of awesome info! Thank you all so much!
Unless they are hot out of the grease, they are old and stale. You can't deliver them hot.I agree! I will be enjoying the fried chicken and donuts on Wednesday at Homecomin'! Can't wait!!!
I also know for a fact that Boma has Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast. My DH LOVES Krispy Kreme donuts, and one day at Boma's breakfast, we were enjoying what seemed like those famous donuts. He told me they were, and I argued they weren't or else they would have a sign showing the company name. Well, my DH asked our waiter and sure enough they are Krispy Kreme. He said that is where they get them. I'm not sure if they still have them, but we will find out in about a week.
I disagree. Just because they are not hot, does not mean they are “old and stale.” My DH can be pretty picky especially when it comes to his Krispy Kreme donuts. But he loved them. The OP was asking where to get donuts. I was responding with a place that serves them or at least has in the past. The OP can decide whether to eat there or not.Unless they are hot out of the grease, they are old and stale. You can't deliver them hot.
Sorry about your husband's lack of discernment regarding donuts.I disagree. Just came back from Disney, and it was great! I do need to post on a not so wonderful thing, though, since it's in relation to the Joffrey's kiosks. While we were in EPCOT, we'd gotten some of the beer cheese at the Ireland booth (delicious btw). Since there was a Joffreys right across the way, I figured I'd get some coffee.
I noticed, as I approached, that there seemed to be a fair number of bees and wasps flying around, and was horrified to realize that they were all in the cases with the donuts/pastries. I'm not talking one or two here. I counted at least six in one case alone and they were crawling all over both the interior of the case, and on the food itself, as I'm sure they were eating the sugar.
I pointed this out to one of the people in the kiosk, and she made a comment about it being a continual battle. One of the other employees then started shaking the cases to get the bees and wasps out, but they were NOT replacing the food in those cases. Food that had a swarm of bees and wasps crawling all over them and eating the icing. There's no way that's in line with health code.
I was so disgusted at that point, that I just bought a bottle of water since it was a sealed product, and I didn't trust them to have good standards on anything. I did report this to one of Disney's managers who was right by the International Gateway, but I didn't write up a formal thing as I didn't want to take the time. I just wanted to share this experience here, so people are warned and can avoid this.
The bees at the Joffrey's cart made the Disney Food Blog today. Apparently the booth couldn't open on time today because of the bees.

These are not truly "beniegts" but they are decent donuts..Oh, no. Those are horrible if you have ever eaten the real thing from New Orleans. They are not light and airy and Disney is very stingy with the powdered sugar.
Actually, I could handle a beeYeeaahhhh - there's definitely a problem there. Maybe they need to consider moving the cart or making it a drink only location. Either that or upgrade the cases to something the bees can't get into. I mean, I like bees, I have a garden and don't use insecticides specifically for them, in spite of Japanese Beetles eating my roses. However, I don't want them crawling all over the food.
