I konw is is not a true restaurant question but i need some info. We are staying at the Beach Club this summer and was wondering if there is a Krispy Kreme donut loaction close by. not sure if we will have a car or not. I will need about 5 0r 6 dozen so a gas station may not work. if there is another donut shop close please let me know.

I don't know about a donut shop, but Tusker House serves Krispy Kremes on the breakfast buffet. Maybe you could work something out with them in advance?

I think Chef Mickey's serves Krispy Kreme on the buffet as well. I do know that the Marketplace (convience store/gift shop) at BC sells packaged donuts but I can't remember the brand, maybe Hostess or Entemann's. I think they had a few varieties and plenty of them on a rotating shelf in front of the drinks cooler. Hope this helps.

That's the one I went to. Krispy Kreme are not good unless you get them with the HOT light on. They may as well be ordinary donuts if you get them off the buffet line. I think I had a few other families following me to our villa at BCV when I walked in carrying my two dozen (there were only three of us).

You can also take a quick walk over to the Dolphin to get some Krispy Kremes from the 24 hour buffeteria there, but might not have the kinds/amounts you want. I don't know if they would consider doing this for you, but maybe you could arrange ahead for a special order on a certain day to come in with their daily delivery :

But you could also go over to one of the water parks and get the donuts which are sold there. They are definitely not KK but are freshly made. Many people consider them the best food on property and will come to the water park and get a shopping pass just so they can get the donuts.

I'll agree with that one, CF, those little donuts are pretty good. Some have cinnamon and sugar on them, some just sugar, depending on the park.

I did that this morning. Bought a dozen from a fundraiser and had one for breakfast. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm!

Whatever you do, be sure you call ahead so they can accommodate you. Sounds like a fun contest!

Those weren't made there, so they are going to be stale compared to the ones right off the line. There really is a difference, believe it or not.

Hey Bigg Daddy - sure you're not my brother. He loves to get my sons involved in these food eating contests! I can't even stand to watch, but they have a blast with their "cool" uncle. I'm guessing it won't matter that they aren't fresh out of the fryer by the time you get to the 6+ dozen, as long as they're reasonable fresh.

Gotta LOVE those Krispy Kreams and that's another reason I always love Dolphin - there aren't any KK's near where I live.

as a brit, our nearest KK is London which is about a 5 hour drive, so eating them hot is not an option... dh and i want to try some for the 1st time in aug, which "flavour" do you reccomend? thanks

Original glazed. No "flavor", just lots of good taste.
