Don't youse just hate it when *update*

Actually I wanted to say "don't you hate it when..." I can't tell you how many times I looked at my original post and couldn't see "use" in place you "you".

I think it was a senior moment! I just was having some fun by changing it to "youse". I love to bait the grammer police ;)

The mental image has me :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Youse are funny!!

And boy do I hear ya on those senior moments.....where you simply don't see what you're looking right at!

I'm not usually part of the grammer police, but in this case I couldn't resist. ;) But after I thought about it, i honestly thought you might be trying to say it with a NY accent. :lmao:

And where was this dramatic "update" that you posted? :confused3

I thought maybe you had caught yourself on fire while baking cookies.

I never claimed it was dramatic - use should go back and read my first post. :confused3 I honestly looked at it about 3 times before I saw what you were talking about :lmao:

Doesn't anyone remember Youse Guys Moychandise in Hollywood Studios, on New York Street?

Oh yeah, like I said, I thought maybe you were being New Yorky.

I've got multiple pictures of that. Love it! Makes me feel like I'm home, except no one is shoving me out of the way. If they want it to be realistic, they need some angry commuters to jostle the passersby. :thumbsup2

I had a pic and I can't find it. Now if they want it to be really, really realistic they needs police in full riot gear! ;)

First off mr Ides, it's New Yawka, I'll let it go once, but only dis once and dats only because youse can't be expected to know any betta on da count of ya not being from around da city an all;)

snappyd, BTW da cah is a brownish culla... you know sorta like da Hudson, only lighta, like maybe cawfee... but not so much.

Too bad there is no way to emphasize speed with speech on here, and hand gestures, it's just not as much fun without the hands.

PrinncessK's Mom, don't forget the smells and the sounds and the energy of the place.

Miss it ssoooooooo much sometimes.... sigh, and right now is my favorite time of the year. All the cabbies have their windows down so they can spit at will and we can get the treat of their mastery of an uncanny ability to curse in English while telling us off in their home tongue all at once:cloud9: I WANT a pretzel and mustard.

OMG, we were in Times Square yesterday and I was looking at a big salty pretzel. I told DH it would be so good with mustard! He asked if I wanted one, but one look at the filthy hands on the "proprietor" and I demurely declined.:rotfl2: I did have two beers at the show to make up for it! Did I tell you about the thong I caught??

The "smell" you're referring to won't kick into high gear until our first heatwave. :rotfl2:

Ahh, the gourmond was remiss... and in Times Square no less, that NEVER happens... usually the pretzel guys are spotless:lmao:

You did not share about the thong incident but do tell. Did you catch the thong or catch something FROM the thong and was it on purpose. Exactly what sort of show are we tawkin here;)

Ahhh, good times, good times... funny how ya don't think you'll miss a thing, but then ya do, until it's there again and ya remember ya weren't such a fan. Like the mystery moisture,I think it contributes to the smells of the city but I have no idea where it comes from:confused3

Scotlass, I love the avatar.

We went to see Rock of Ages, it was hilarious, and full of good '80s music.

I was in the front row and one of the guys on the stage threw his thong at me! Best line of the day? "It's Cougar Sunday!" - there were a lot more "older' ladies at this performance than usual, as it was Mother's Day. :cool1:

Dh caught the guitar picks:

I think I got the better deal!

Ohhhh, lucky! I heard the one the Southpark guys put together was fantastic but really rude so I've been on the fence about it, it would plainly be a show for just DH and I, but if this is good maybe it's a better choice... would you say it's young teen friendly? I would so love to bring my kids in to see something for a Wednesday matinee show after a morning of people watching:goodvibes

we use youse ower here too.

I actually think we brought it ower water to...YOUSE !!!

It could easily have come from somewhere else, we are a giant melting pot:grouphug:

LuvOrlando, the writeup for the show says not recommended for teens under 14. I haven't seen the show personally, but I guess it would depend on the ages of your children and their maturity level. I took DD to see American Idiot and was slightly appalled at one scene in particular, but when you look at it in the context of the show it really wasn't that bad. It's just as uncomfortable for the teens as the parents sometimes. And the frequent use of the "F" word, although I have to admit I have a vocabulary that would make a sailor blush.
