The postman can't deliver something and leaves a totally unintelligable note so you have no idea who it's from.

Apparently someone's sent me a registered letter, and I have no idea who could have done this... now I've got to wait till tomorrow till I can find out what it is...

Yep happens to us the time, and sometimes they don't even bother attempting to deliver then the item gets sent back to the sender!

I used to hate that.

Anything I now order online I get sent to my parents house. Usually one or other are in to take the parcel.

Yesterday I had a parcel delivered and they just chucked it over my garden gate. it was all torn and ripped open and no card in the letter box to say it was there. DH triped over it when he put the bin out.

Turns out it was only the reader/decoder thingy for my internet banking.

And there I was hoping for a letter from the premium bonds
