When people tell you somethingabout Disney and you knowthey are wrong you try to correct them an they still keep saying the same stuff.

This just happend to me, since I am helping someone with their trip and trying to explain the advantages of staying at a Disney Resort i.e. Extra Magic Hours.

And they say yeah I know but if we are not staying at a Disney resort we pay extra and we can stay for the EMH. WRONG>>>>>>>>

Anyway I tell them that it doesn't work that way andthey said yes Iread it in their site, so I said you probably read about someplace else or read it wrong, stll they would not budge. So I gave up

Anyway just THOUGHT I would share my frustration.

Yes. Last year at my son's baseball game one of the mother's tried to tell me that you couldn't park hop with the multiday tickets. I told her you sure could and she just kept saying you can't. Now, with the new tickets I understand you may not be able to but this was before the change. I even asked her where she got her tickets and they got them at the Disney resort. Oh well. You can't tell some people anything.

My favorite was my parents' friend who *insisted* that they were discontinuing character meals in early 2004. Yep, sure they are, even though we had a bunch booked for our 1/04 trip

I think it's funny when I say I'm going to Disney and people assume it's my first time. Then they proceed to tell me all their "tips", which are usually wrong
I just smile and say "thanks for the info" then walk away thinking if they only knew

See, a knowledgeable WDW addict always knows to ask, "is this your first trip to WDW?"

I think there is so much info people get confused and if they are the type that can't be wrong... You can buy a FOTL pass for extra $$$ based on availability at Universal not WDW. People are clueless especially the know it alls...I still learn new stuff.

I had a guy tell me ALL of December is the busiest time to go to WDW. I tried...I said yes Christmas is but the first couple weeks can be one of the quietest times with crowds, one of my favorite times, with the crowds building the closer you get to Dec 25. He got upset and said it IS the busiest time. I shut up. I should have said...is NOT!!!

Nah...they will be screaming at CM's they KNOW they are allowed in!!! And finally, when it "hits them" they will say they should be allowed in anyway because of all the stress and it's not fair!!!

I avoid conversation about WDW with certain people for this reason (ie my DH's whole family!!). I don't claim to know everything about the parks, but I know more than the average person. It drives me crazy when they talk about it and think they know everything. Example, my BIL bragged about planning a trip for his family last year. I kept trying to ask where they were going and he would say Disney World. I decided he just didn't understand what it was like, with all the different parks. DH and I bought his kids a Pal Mickey for Christmas. When they got home and showed us the pictures--they spent 5 out of 7 days at Universal!!!! The same BIL and his wife went on the Big Red Boat-Disney Cruise back in the early 90's. When DH and I went on the Wonder earlier this year, BIL kept telling us he went on the same thing. We tried explaining that is was completely different. He jsut didn't get it.
