Don't you hate it when you can't figure out what airport to use?

Flying into Seattle and taking the Port Angeles Ferry is another option. The drive to Port Angeles is very nice, you would need to take another ferry to get there, but it is a very scenic route!

But the OP would have to rent a car to do that. Not sure if that was in their plans. I agree with others that it would be easier to fly into Vancouver, but given the price differential, it might make more sense financially to fly into Seattle (flight to Seattle + Victoria Clipper cheaper than flight to Vancouver + BC Ferries).

Caradana -- Make sure you confirm that the Victoria Clipper schedule will work for you. Meriweather already gave you the URL. You will need to arrive at the ferry at least 30 minutes before leaving (as I think you might clear customs before boarding the boat). The airport is about a 20-30 minute cab ride from the waterfront (depending on traffic). The nice thing about the Clipper is that it docks at Victoria's inner harbor so if your work is in downtown Victoria, absolutely no need for a car.

You could also take a floatplane from south Lake Union (about a mile north of downtown) into Victoria's inner harbor (www.kenmoreair.com). This is something I've always wanted to do as I've heard it is absolutely spectacular. But it is much more expensive than the Clipper.

I thought the OP was planning on renting a car, but I think the clipper is a great idea because once you get to Victoria it's easy to Taxi around where you need to. The only downside again is that depending on when you go the Clippper only sails in the am. In the summer months they sail 2-3x. It is a very relaxing ride.

(And yes, you clear customs before you board the boat.)
