I am so confused! I have used the Fantasmic Dinner package in the old days, when you could order anything off the menu, without a pre-paid meal... I really want to go to Fantasmic on our upcoming trip, but am not sure if I should buy the dinner package. According to park hours, the crowds should be down...

**So, what is your opinion on the value of the dinner package? **Which restaurant is the best deal?

I would appreciate any feedback!

DH and I were at WDW earlier this month. We originally had the Fantasmic package at Brown Derby. We decided to cancel it. The weather wasn't looking too good, so we thought there was a chance Fantasmic would be canceled. We also didn't want to spend that much money eating at a restaurant we didn't really care to eat at (went to Cali Grill later in the week instead :)). The crowds were also down, so we decided to take a chance. We arrived around 45 min to an hour before the show and found a great seat in the middle section. I'm pregnant so I enjoyed the time to just sit for awhile.

We have never done the FDP. Have never gotten a bad seat at Fantasmic.

I do think it depends on what time of year you go. During busy time when there are 2 shows, the 2nd showing is always less crowded.

We were at Disney during Presidents Week. Fantasmic had 2 showings. We went to the 2nd show, got there 1/2 hour before and got a seat in the middle section half way down.
