Don't trade for ice yet! It' not retired!

As everyone might have seen, there was no ice this morning in pirates or fireworks, and VMK has no explanation for this having happened. I sent a Call For Help and got a good answer, please keep your stuff safe and don't trade, here's staff message to me:

that was my quess also since they did say that "ICE"would be available all month.....

But if you are going to trade up with ICE today would be the day....since it is still not really known if and when it will be back.

What I mean is if there are things you want and you have alot of ice today would be the day to trade it

ROFL, Saw those a bunch, but this is real. I was on Alien's room when I got answered. It was a super fast reply. I sent question and within 2 seconds (I timed it) I had that shown up.

Don't trade for ice? I can't play the games so I just trade and I now have over 600 ice cubes in a really big block. It is probably the biggest ice cube in VMK not that I have the most but I have it in one big cube it is pretty funny.

All that fits in a single room without hitting room limit?!!? That's insane! What kind of room are you using to store so much ice?

Gee you are lucky I have built both rooms one being tent with the maximum @453 items and everest I think maximum was a little more. I found this frustrating because I still had more to add. maybe ice is half the size 2 ice = 1 crate. I think there is something to this as I could always add one more ice cube but not a crate. An 8X8 cube would give you 512 cubes. Wow that is hughe I will have to see this when I go on tonight. and I thought when I had 343 crates that was bad. Can you move at all in that room it would be awful tight.

Boy, there sure are a lot of rumors and stories flying around VMK and the boards today. I'm not sure what to believe and what not to believe, but here are the top 3 things that bother me about the "staff message" above.

1. When, in the entire history of VMK, have staff EVER said, "This is broken and we don't know why it isn't working."?

2. There are no events scheduled for this weekend. Granted, there is the possibility of a surprise, but they don't usually surprise us with events. (EDIT: Oops. Sorry, got my messages confused. There is another post somewhere on the boards here that says ice and snow carpets will be released as part of an event this weekend. My bad.)

3. If staff truly doesn't know why ice went away, who changed the prize message? Sure, a bug could occur to cause the game to stop giving away ice cubes, but a bug would not change the prize message. Somebody intentionally did that.

It is in a Skull Rock room There isn't anything in there except a couple of teleporters and a big blocl of ice.

The part that says "if it is a mistake........" the people that run the game don't know if it is a mistake or not? That's doesn't make sense.

If somehow it is a software error, who changed the setting for the pirate game AND the firework? Who changed the wording on the pirate game message? Sine I have never been able to complete the fireworks game I don't know what it says.

No, this is not a software error or broken link, someone changed these things.
I would suggest that maybe they can't do anything about it while VMK is online but I don't believe it. They have certainly closed the game during the day in the past to change things

And why doesn't the staff just say what the problem is, I would have more faith in VMK if they just told the truth right off the bat.

i think you all have to know the truth.. vmk staff looked at my old post and have been replaced by robots and aliens hacked into the system to change the game so that all the ice we win goes to them

lol this game is aimed towards kids! Could you imagine if they started getting all technical just to please a few people. It would look a little like this:

I don't care what happened...as long as they can fix it and learn from it.

Just curious: I know alot about computers ( I program them) and a bug would be different. It would say you got ice and you wouldn't get the ice or it wouldn't say you got ice, and you got in anyways.

Does anyone see what I'm trying to say? Bugs dont work that way, unless their calendar is off and March just started on the VMK clock, but they are smarter than that... or are they?...

According to a post mad by Yavn himself on VMK fansite, ice cubes were purposefully removed from the games as prizes. The removal was temporary, but no word on when they will be restored.

This is due to the newly announced Everest Ride Event this weekend in which riders will be awarded prizes each time they ride the staffs Everest Ride. Different prizes will be awarded for each day. They include Straight Ride Tracks (Friday), Snow Carpet (Saturday), and ice cube chair(Sunday).
