Thank you so much Wood Nymph, that really helps!

So we ended up staying with the Poly for our upcoming trip, but I am tossing around the idea of a split stay between WL and BC next year!!! I love the Poly but I'm ready to venture out and try a new resort!!

Kind of in-between, maybe closer to YC. I entered from poolside, it was to the left of Beaches & Cream with my back to the pool. I assume there is an entrance from the inside corridor. Can anyone confirm this???

Oh, so it is in a separate building? Looking at the map in the beginning of the thread it looked like it was part of YC, but I dont have my glasses on

Outside entrance only.

Finally met Teena and the adorable Princess Lily on the way thru the lobby heading for Boma
She is a treasure. So is Lily. Lol

Dinner was great then a huge thunderstorm so we called it a night. Currently sitting at quiet pool. Doing a load of laundry during Illuminations

Surreal

Sitting! I did 48 lengths of the pool whilst hubby put DD to bed and I waited on the dryers. :laundy:

With today's coffee I would like to re-announce some Grounds-Breaking News:

Dave and wlake also reported that Joffrey's coffee has replaced the Cuisinart coffee issued for the pod machines in the room.

:drinking1

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cheer2: thank goodness as that Cuisinart stuff was V I L E

I am also looking for ideas for lunch on arrivals days, by the time we get there we'll be starving and it'll be after 1pm for sure, closer to 2pm probably. Was hoping for B&C but we'll be too hungry to wait so that's dependent on how crowded it is. I like the menu of the Crew Cup lounge as well and would like to just pop in there, but don't see any kids choices which makes sense since it's a lounge, but does anyone know if they can still get kid's meals there? Or would we need to go to the marketplace and get something and could we bring it over?

Hello all,

Was going to do on-line checkin but was told i can't from the UK when I rang to correct something. Am I at any disadvantage not being able to do this, I was hoping for a large balcony but it will not be the end of the world if we don't get one.

My MAD plan is to get into room, relax for a bit before heading out for the final night of Summer Nights at SeaWorld, having left home at 10am UK time this may not happen as it will feel like 8/9pm by the time we get to the resort.

Staying at the Beach Club for 2 weeks so will have plenty time to explore the resort and have a play at SAB.

Looking at the Be Our Guest list there is a few staying so i may bump into one or teo of you during our stay :wave2:.

We are arriving around 2 pm also. My kids will want to visit the pool ASAP, they always do. So, I usually end up picking up something at the poolside place (in this case Hurricane Hannah's) or something from the quick service (Marketplace) which I then carry over to eat by/near the pool area.

If our flight runs late, I may be a bad Mommy and feed them fast food picked up at the airport on our way to the DME bus.

When do your dates apply? We managed ti fo ours just fine at 59 days ahead of our upcoming stay, we did need our US reservation number though. We were given that number by WDTC Uk so everything paired up for our reservation. You may need to contact your TA. Good luck with your plans, our arrival day we will get yo our resort (hopefully) by 11pm US time which means we will have been on the go for about 21 hours , not a hope of doing much at that time of night!

You need your 12 digit reservation number and. Believe me it can be like banging the proverbial brick wall with your head getting it from some of the UK TAs. (Florida4less for example). You would think they would know what you are talking about, what with them being "specialists".

I don't think you will make it to Seaworld as it may be after 6pm by the time you are at Resort and that's allowing a short queue at immigration.

Hi Dee & friends! Some folks may remember me. I come in & out of this thread periodically. After a trip ends & before I know when the next one will be, I have to stay away, so the post Disney Blues don't get too bad. But I usually return once I am in planning mode for the next trip.

So I just booked our June 2014 BCV stay. :). We are planning to be at BCV from 6/22/14 to 6/29/14. We can celebrate birthdays for the whole trip, my older son's birthday is 6/19 & my twins' birthday is 7/2 -- the week between birthdays means we can celebrate all week long, right? ;)

I would suggest Hurricane Hannah's for quickness. We went to Market Place our first day and service was SLOW.

Stiff and sore... had a few grumpy moments yesterday. I am a go go go type person so this is strange to sit and do nothing. Not allowed to drive for 2-3 weeks:scared1: So much to do though. On the phone with the guys insurance company. Did you know : If you get hit by a car while walking or riding a bike it is considered a car accident, therefore the pedestrian's health insurance will not pay any bills, it all has to go through the car insurance. This is all fine and good but man is it a pain.

Looks like the guy is going to be charged with texting while driving that caused bodily injury... it will be either a B or C misdemeanor.

I totally get not being able to sit still. Happened to me when I broke my foot(4bones) 2 years ago! But take it easy!! It really does speed the healing to actually REST! And I am so glad to hear they are charging the driver. He should not just get away with it. He could have hurt you much worse!! Feel better soon and then enjoy F & W!

19 days for us, we'll be there at the same time! :goodvibes Yes, HH by the pool is probably where we will end up thinking about it realistically the kids won't want to wait long. Relax and soak in the atmosphere before we hit Epcot for dinner.

OKAY so the women on the phone was talking ribbish. I've checked in online easily, although it did not except my request for a large balcony :(.

Pinkgirl, I think you may be correct about SeaWorld but I can dream. We'll have to wait and see, hope immigration queues are kind to us. It was one of my late mum's favourite parks after EPCOT, for sentimental reasons I would love to do Summer Nights. I lost her a year past January.

We like to hit ESPN Club on arrival day...usually a Sat. for us and during College Football season :) but if B&C is crowded its a quick walk to other side of BW to go inside and eat! You could also try the Boardwalk pizza window

Yes, we will! We arrive on 8/26. I have a daughter who is 12 (though she looks about 10, tops) and a son who is 7.

We have the same exact arrival day plans...SAB arrival afternoon and Epcot for dinner. Our first full park day will be 8/27 at MK.

They can't wait and neither can I! :yay:

How do I word in a request with on line check in "any floor but 1st level'? I don't want to say upper level b/c then it would probably limit me to the top floor?

Seriously cannot wait for this vacation!!! Getting down to the nitty gritty, Hubby is off either tommorow or Thursday and is doing his last minute things, cleaning out the car, and taking it over to get checked out/oil change. Sunday he is off and we plan on packing.

I can't wait.

Today is our anniversary (we had a Disneymoon) and you can no longer note a celebration? I'd like a pin :rotfl:

You could probably ask for "not first floor". I asked for a higher level floor at YC (keeping in mind that 5th floor was not an option since it's all conceirge.) We were placed on 3rd.

We have arrived many times at the BC around 1pm or 2pm. It has often been a challenge to get food fast enough since we are starving by then. B&C is usually an hour wait. Hurricane Hanna's can be busy, too, and unless you have already changed into swimming suits, it can be really hot to sit out there in street clothes. We have found the Marketplace to be a little limited and unappealing, too. So our tradition has been to run into Epcot for lunch. The place we are most likely to go to is the food court at Sunshine Seasons. It has good variety and is quick, except for the walk, and air conditioned.

We have also grabbed something at the airport before hitting the Magical Express if we are really hungry. It takes almost two hours from the time you walk off the plane until you are checked into the resort and ready to search for food when taking the ME.

A nice table service option would be the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. They have a nice lunch menu and usually aren't crowded. :)
