Wow! Keeping up with this page is so challenging when you're on vacation! And I've found I'm a terrible live dining reporter! I keep forgetting to take pictures of my food before I eat it!
OK, where did I leave off yesterday.....oh yes, I said "NO" to my nap and headed down to SAB. It was 1:30pm and CROWDED! Not unusual. So we walked over to our favorite area near the volleyball game to find a seat. I found one lounger free of any items so I walked over and asked the dude next to it if anyone was using it. He pointed to the little boy at the seat next to it and said that his family was but they are leaving. Hurray! The mom walks over, starts yelling at the boy, gathers up her belongings and leaves. We have there chairs! Woo hoo! Guess what she leaves behind? Do I even need to tell you? Mind you, all five of us were waiting to vacate the area so we could claim the chairs so I have witnesses.....she leaves behind all of their wet, used pool towels! Unfreakingbelievable! So I commented to the dude next to us how thoughtful they were to leave us their used towels. He said, "yeah...they were marvelous! You have high standards to live up to!" My first thought was that I couldn't wait to tell my YC/BC friends this story.
We have a lovely time at SAB but the kids said they didn't go down the slide because the line was too long. Instead they played volleyball and hung in the lazy river. I realized we hadn't eaten real food since 7am and it was three hours before our dinner reservations so I headed over to HH and got us two meals to share.....the kids shared a bacon hamburger while Joel and I shared the lobster roll. It hit the spot! Dummy me threw out the cookie we forgot to eat! DUH!
While we were finishing our lunch a brief rain ensued but to the west more rain was coming. So my family stayed until the monsoon came and I left ahead of the rain to go back to the room to get ready for dinner.
We met my sister-in-law and her husband and son for dinner at Cape May. We all loved it....crab legs, Mac and cheese (best we've ever had!), carved beef, mashed potatoes, peel and eat shrimp.....and the desserts were phenomenal! Boston Cream Cake, blueberry lemon cheesecake, brownies, flan, strawberry shortcake....mmmmm mmmmmm good!
After dinner we headed to Epcot. The rain had stopped by then and dramatically lowered the temperatures. We went on TT, M:S, Nemo and Soarin. We got in line for Soarin at 8:52pm much to my husbands chagrin because the standby time was 60 minutes. I knew the actual wait would be much shorter...and it was! We were done and walking off the ride at exactly 9:30! At the end of the night, don't let the wait times fool you...they artificially inflate wait times so you don't want to ride it. They do the same with the queues....they push it out the door with no wait inside to make it look like a loooonnnngggg wait.
Epcot was dead last night and I would like to thank the rain for that! The rain sent everyone home so my family could enjoy a lovely, rain-free evening at Epcot.
On today's agenda, we will spend the morning and afternoon at SAB them head over to MK for dinner at BOG and our Wishes Dessert Party at EMH until 1am! Woo hoo!!! Mother Nature...please don't rain during Wishes.
See ya later!
