O.K. , think we found an easy solution to our "white noise".........ie, snorer problem.

As luck would have it, there are MANY "white noise" apps available.
Dug through a few of them, and found a few good ones that will work. A few of the ones we like are......... Fan, Jet airplane cabin, rain, a few others. Some are completely ridiculous though ,lol........... Lawn Sprinkler, train ride, campfire, restaurant, washing machine ??? etc.........lol what the heck .

The only problem was that they dont sound very "full" just coming out of the I-phone / I-pod. So we just hooked it up to an I-phone "home" dock, that keeps the device charged but is also a clock/alarm clock and has a speaker system in it to play music ..............and "noise" .
Did a trial run and it works great. The sound is very authentic, and provides plenty of white background noise.

Just want to thank everyone who helped out with the "white noise" app tip ...........its working great. May even use it on a more permanent basis now.

Now, just one more question ..........does BC have I-Phone "docks" with speakers in all of the rooms now? How about the other resorts ?
We can bring our "dock", if needed, but it would be easier if the rooms already had them !

Ok this is gonna sound silly but in a pinch it works as a decent "speaker" in a small space....bring a RED SOLO CUP! Drop the iPhone in with the speakers on the bottom. It amplifies the sound. No batteries needed and less to pack than an ihome!!
of course if there is a dock in the room... Use it!!

I've heard 'bracelets' mentioned a couple of times for SAB entry. How does that work exactly? I had assumed we would need to keep all five room keys with us all the time so some kind of pool entry bracelet sounds great! Do you get it at check in or at the pool entrance? What's it made of? Do you wear it for the length of your stay or just that one pool visit?

I'm not talking about magic bands here, just this SAB bracelet thingy.

It's one of those papery-plastic bracelets. Like one you would get in a hospital, sort of. You show your key at the pool entrance, and they put a bracelet on your wrist. I believe it's a different color each day. So, you'll always need to make sure your keys are with you. All 5 of them.

When you enter the pool the first time each and every day and everybody shows their individual room key, they will get a color coded wrist ban put on their wrist. They change the color each day so each day you need to repeat the process all over again the first time you enter the pool. I've seen kids with an arm full of different color wrist bans ... they keep them and wear them day after day. So if you don't want to keep all five room keys with you the whole time, once you get into the pool and get your wrist bans put on, then you can have someone run all the keys back to the room.

Teena - my family of Pennsylvanians will be coming in September. Tastycakes can travel easily, but I'll have to read up on how to pack corn and tomatoes. Hmmm, this is new research I'll have to do for the trip

Unfortunately with corn, as you probably know, unless its really really fresh, it just doesn't do well. Tomatoes are easier ... they stay good for a while!!

I live 45-60 minutes away from WDW. Since I only work two days a week at the most, it's an okay drive. If anybody brings tomatoes or corn and arrives a day I'm not working, please let me know in advance and I'll drive in for sure to get them. I'd be glad to pay you for them of course!!!!

As of this moment, I have no trips planned for September. However, we are hoping to perhaps book the Disney Fantasy for the week 9/21-28. I have to see how much money is left in our fun account after Jeanne and Princess Lily are here for two weeks in early August. We are finding that a Princess is very high maintenance.

I've got a BC question!! Has anybody asked or answered the question of whether that ahi tuna at HH's bar can be purchased as a quick service meal for lunch if you are on the dining plan? That will be Jeanne's choice every day we are at SAB if it is. However, if it's not a quick service option, I'm not even going to tell her about it.

Happy to find out we could send the keys back to the room after getting the bracelets. It would be a drag to wear them on a land yard or whatever.

It's been exactly a year since we were at Beach Club, and at Disney, for the first time. We loved BC last year and everything else. Besides the shortened EMHs (I think?), anything else I should know that has changed? When any of you have done lunch/dinner at downtown Disney, how long did it take you from BC, and how easy is it to find a parking space? I can't walk long distances in the heat, like from BC to the Boardwalk or Epcot restaurants, and am hoping that driving to eat downtown for a couple of meals would be better for me. Thank you ... you were all wonderful, and right on the money, for me last year!
