Don't miss Mickey moment

Be sure to watch Mickey climbing the Matterhorn. We did that today and really enjoyed it. It was a cute show and he planted a flag on the top of the mountain at the end. They had the crowd chanting.

Does he climb at any particular time or did you just get lucky and see it?

Brother was there two weeks ago and he climbed at 1130 and then again at 5PM, but anything can change on any day.

I go to DL a few times a year and I've got to say that Matterhorn climb by Mickey is hilarious. The dialog is campy and really fun.

If you want to see it go to the end of Main Street. Just on the left is an information booth. Ask the CM when the next climb will be. Our CM said (in all mocking sincerity), "It's in about 10 minutes... but there are NOOOO gaurantees Mickey will make it! This is is first climb you know."

Great fun.

We saw this too. My younger son was in the stroller, and I found a great place to stand while watching was right next to the big "gate" (the one that's eternally open) in Frontierland - gave us a great view of the mountain while being in the shade. (This was at 11am, so may not be such a good place at 5pm.)
