is to get the Wilderness Lodge Villas through Interval? We just bought a timeshare but unfortunately it is not Disney's although I would have loved one. Anyways, I was looking through the interval book and notice a few disney properties. Just curious, my guess would be it is difficult to get them. I'd think it would be easier to rent your timeshare or sell your points.

With 5 months to go before your vacation you can make a reservation with cash or a credit card. It opens up to the public at that time as do all the other DVC resorts.

It may get easier. They have revamped DVC so that we now have a point chart for making outside trades. DVC also seems to be pushing this option and encouraging members to use it. The more members who trade out, the better your chance of trading in. In the past, DVC members have mostly used their points to stay at WDW making the potential for trading in very difficult.
