Can anyone help? DH & I are going in October and have two days left on an old four-day PH. If I wanted to upgrade to an AP (wish we'd gotten one last year. We were in Orlando 3x–– once planned and twice unexpectedly for work) how much EXACTLY would it cost me out of pocket and how do I go about doing it? If I wanted to book AP rate for hotel, can I do this without actually having the AP in hand at the time of booking?

Thanks in advance. Just thinking ahead for next year, and what I wanted to do if an trip was "accidently" booked for June when DH thinks he's going to a conference alone w/o DD & I. :love1:

You can book a resort without the AP in hand. You do have to have it when you check in. They release AP codes every so often for a certain time period. Just keep watching the codes and resorts section of the Resorts board.

If you do a search here on the DIS you will find information about the AP. No discounts for an AP.

Right, but I can apply the UNUSED cost of the hoppers toward the AP, right?

Yes you can but how many do you have? You're now saying "hoppers" (plural). You can apply one old ticket for each new one you buy. You cannot apply two old ones to a single new one.

The only way you will know exactly how much this will cost is to have Guest Relations scan your old tickets and tell you what their value are. You then subtract that amount from the cost of the new AP.
