I am not sure how much money we will need for our upcoming trip. We will be there for 14 days. We won't be going out for breakfast except for 3 character meals and they are already prepaid (vouchers), we have two lunch/dinners with the VKL already purchased and then we have about 24 of the Q&C Vouchers. There are four of us (me, hubby, dd-9, ds-14). We have dinners out planned for LTT, Fantasmic at Hollywood & Vine, Chef Mickeys, Cape May Buffet and Rose & Crown.

We will be staying in villas most of the time (BCV, BWV & SSR) so we will be able to do some things in the room. I can't believe I can't figure out how to budget this.

Anyone have any suggestions. (P.S. the kids each have about $75 DD for their spending money)

I sit down and make a break down of each and every day. I plan a set amount for a 3 meals and then a set amount for snacks per person, per day. My family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child who usually orders the kids meals). Will spend on an average of $20-25 for counter service meals, and $75-100 for sit down meals w/ tip.

Then I make a list of everything that still needs to be paid for. Hotels, rental cars. Budget set amounts for souvineer spending or fun stuff (like video games). Then I set aside $100 for just misc (those little things you might forget). Grocery money, tipping money (at the airport and hotels), laundry if applicable (as this can add up), parking (for any other parks you may go to, or offsite people), other entertainment, tickets (if not prepaid), and gas.

Literally go day by day and figure out what you are going to do and if you have to pay for it. Then research the prices to the best of your knowledge and add them up.

I go so extensively as we have no credit cards. So what we have, is what we have. We do have a several hundred overdraft on our checking, I feel like that would be my safeguard for any medical emergencies but only those. On every trip I've come home w/ money. Sometimes substatial. All but one trip--- once I had to borrow the airport parking money from my young son. As I had spent the last of our trip money on lunch at the airport.
