She told me that the reason people don't like her is because she is so beautiful I told her no, it was because she has such a harsh tongue

So, do people dislike you because you are so beautiful?

If that had happened with one of my relatives, SOMEONE in my not-so-tactful family would have said, "Oh, no, THAT'S not why we hate you. It's because you're so stuck up."

We must have similar families! Because a statement such as this in MY family would be ENDLESSLY ridiculed. Maybe some people hate others because they are beautiful. I generally admire beautiful people, and maybe can even be a little jealous, but I never hate someone because they are beautiful.

If this girl has decided that no one likes her because she's oh so gorgeous, I'd bet a million dollars (that I don't have) that it's because she thinks she's beautiful enough to treat people like crap and get away with it. NO ONE is THAT beautiful.

I know you are being silly and that it is an outragious thing to say but I am amazed by the way people comment about 'pretty people' behind their backs. I never noticed it until I had a really pretty friend. I mean if there was a live action Barbie, this girl would be Barbie.

You should hear the nasty things people who don't know her say about her. She is super nice. Sweet, not pretentious or prissy. Yet strangers rip her to shreads.

Now this girl would never say people hate her because she is beautiful. She doesn't actually think she is 'all that.'

Now, I've never thought of myself as being particularly georgeous, and I'd say on your average day I'm looking pretty average. However, I once had a two-year old boy in my preschool class run up to me, grab my legs in a big hug, look up at me and say "miss teacher, you're my most beeeyoootiifullest teacher ever!" and then run away. It was at the afternoon shift change, and the afternoon teacher had arrived and I was giving her the day's update when this sweet boy made his spontaneous gesture of affection. The afternoon teacher gave me a sour look and said "he's never said anything like that to me. Did you bribe him with candy this morning?" I just laughed - the kiddo was just being a kiddo, and he thought I was "beeeyoootiifull" because I loved him, not because I'm an especially decorative person (I'm really not!). That compliment is still one of the best I've ever received - any time I'm feeling especially plain, I just remember that spontaneous knee hug and words of love from a 2 year old!

People don't hate me because I am beautiful, but I own a t-shirt that says "Don't Hate Me Because I am Beautiful" (My sister, my best friend and i bought them as a joke) and when people see it they laugh, I think they might be trying to tell me something...

There is this girl i work with who doesn't like pretty girls, we think it's because she feels threatened. We work in a male dominated group and for a long time she was the youngest girl who worked there. Not anymore!!
She might be skinny and blonde, and I might be brunette and chubby, but i am certainly prettier than she is!

I have the type of personality that you either really love or really hate. It sure helps finding true friends rather easy.
