Don't get excited I didn't solve the FW survey marker questions/River Country

Today, we’re unveiling something very different – an unprecedented opportunity to buy a home at the Walt Disney World Resort. You read right. Golden Oak is a new one-of-a-kind, luxury residential resort community that Disney Imagineers helped design. So, of course, it’ll have a unique Disney touch.
Golden Oak Luxury Residential Resort Community
Take a look at our first released artist rendering of a Tuscan village courtyard home – it’s one of several architectural styles that’ll be featured at Golden Oak. Parks, pedestrian pathways and a private clubhouse are also planned for the community designed especially for resort living.

Golden Oak, named after Walt’s Golden Oak Ranch in California, will offer single-family, custom homes priced between approximately $1.5 million and $8 million, with fewer than 30 home sites available for sale this year. Residents will also have access to select amenities at the planned Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, including the full service spa, restaurants, golf course and event space.

We’ll have more on this in future Disney Parks Blog posts. But if you’d like to know more right now, please visit www.disneygoldenoak.com.

Sorry, that's not it. If you read, it states "access to select amenities at the proposed Four Seasons Resort Orlando" which is part of the complex being built just West of Fort Wilderness on one of the Golf Courses.

Now maybe some of the stakes near Loop 300 have something to do with that as that area is closer to the Four Seasons than the old RC is. But RC is nowhere near to the Four Seasons Development

Disney is not going to let people live on Disney property because they would have a say so on everything that happens on Disney property

I still think RC is being turned into an Iranian nuclear facility.

Their website seems awfully legit to me. The only thing that I think would keep them from delving in this market is the current state of the economy and the fact that new home sales are still taking a beating.

I didnt read the link to this Disney resort sales mess,,,but seriously,,if Disney charges $100.+ A NIGHT for a camping site,,what the h*ll are these things gonna cost !?!?!? :scared1:

If you Owen house on Disney property you have to vote on everything Disney does

Here's a quote from an article just posted yesterday in the CM only website.

"Golden Oak is planned to include the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, combining Disney's renowned service and hospitality with the Four Seasons' defining standard of excellence."

It's a phase of the Four Seasons Resort which BTW opened it's entry way for the first time yesterday as well.

If a resort is owned by Disney, it's called "Disneys XXXX Resort". If it's a third party resort, it's called "XXXX Resort at WDW or "The WDW XXXX". This one is called "Golden Oak at WDW Resort".

Don't forget to send in your $25K check.

The way they are getting around this is they physically sold the land to Four Seasons, so people will not be owning a house "on Disney property". However, it appears they have a marketing agreement to keep the lines of ownership blurred.

On a totally different note, if you notice the land owners that own the land where Bonnet Creek resort is located "fought" with Disney on the use of that land, so therefore Disney finally released an easement, but reportedly at a less than desirable location, and there is NO marketing agreement between the two resorts.
