Don't forget to pack...

Big Ol Bumpity BUMP!!

For this year's trip planners...

And because this is such a great thread!! :thumbsup2

We are going in April - and I'm packing a lite sweater / pullover
It will be useful on a cooler night under the fireworks or on a chili boat ride...
or even in that fancy restaurant where they LOVE the air conditioner.

But hey - I'm just cold natured like that :goodvibes

Thanks to the previous contributors....

While you are packing light, please think to put an ID on your camera strap. You can use a small key chain type tag with your name and number of whichever cell phone you carry.

Also as I was replying to another thread - here is the rest of that tip: post #15

Bring femine products JUST in case you are early. At least 1 to hold you over til you get to a store

I am ordering cases of water, but I bought the Kool Aid single serve things today so the kids can have Koolaid to drink too!

For me, I can't forget:

EyeGlass Case
EyeGlass Repair kit (you NEVER know.....)
AA Photo Batteries (my digital camera takes AAs and I would hate for my camera to die just as I found Meeko or got a photo opportunity with Belle)
AC Adaptor for NintendoDSLite and wall chargers for iPod & Zen
PHOTO ID (you can't fly without it!)

Those are ones I can't forget....

Great list! I'm leaving next weekend and after reading this thread my list is twice as long! At least I know I'm prepared! :thumbsup2

I suggest taking a shower curtain and clothespins. Whenever it is about to rain, pull out the shower curtain and pin it to the stroller. The seats will never be wet (unless you forget to change the diaper).

Bring any hats you have that you want to get embroidered. The Chapeau on Main Street embroiders any hats--even if you did not just purchase them.

If you do not have small children (or even if you do), I also suggest bringing lots of money and an extra suitcase for souvenirs.

These are great lists. We just got back so I should have this all fresh in my head. Thanks to this list I felt really prepared (so thanks everyone).

We lived through rain, hot sun, busy crowds and a different park everyday. Both my husband and I carried backpacks that included:
- camera/video camera
- wet wipes (can never have too many)
- gum/mints
- suntan lotion
- maps (you can get these at each part as you enter - but it really helps to study them before you go and have a game plan).
- sunglasses:cool1:
- hats (put names in them - we ended up losing two and names might have helped (lost and found at Disney is GREAT!)
- ponchos (yes, we used them - Walmart = $.87 each! - buy 2 per person just in case!)
- lip balm
- antibacterial gel (cuz....you know)
- tissues
- couple of water bottles (you can share! it'll be ok)
- drink mix for water (or not)
- tylenol/advil:sick:
- hair brush/pony tail bands
- extra bags (to stash an apple or that extra items from the buffet line in)

We have older kids (no babies) and this seemed to work. :grouphug: We didn't seem to be missing anything. We had a family suite at the Disney Music Resort so we brought food and drinks for the room for in-between snacks and breakfasts. The best advice we took from this board was the shoe rack over the door - we hung it up in the bathroom and kept all of our shoes in there - it worked awesome - kept the room neater!!!

Good luck!

I've had to make late-night pharmacy runs to replace lost medications when traveling.

So before you leave home, research nearby pharmacies in case you need an emergency refill. Look up the pharmacy phone number and address and take it with you as you may not have internet access in your room (or you won't want to pay $10 for access to look it up!)

if it's already been posted sorry but I have seen it on here in the past

post it notes if traveling with small kids to put on the eye on the toilets so they won't flush on them

This is a great idea!!! My daughter is terrified of the toilets that flush on their own. I never thought to use a post it note.:yay:
