Set your DVR's to the annual Christmas Day 2 hour commercial! ;)

The actual NAME of the show (so you can locate the listing) is:

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade

It is on the ABC TV network starting at 10AM EST (2 hour show.)

Remember that some local stations may delay the broadcast.

The WDW portions of this show were recorded at MK on Dec. 6 & 7, 2013.

DVR already set.

My DD was part of Dance the Magic, so we were there to see a good portion of the taping. Unfortunately she was in row 41 of the dances, so it is highly unlikely that she'll get even a fraction of a second of screen time. Regardless, the opening scene alone is worth watching alone. It's going to be neat to see how five hours of filming are reduced to a 3 minute performance. And,the "special guest" (sorry no spoilers from me :thumbsup2) was hilarious.

Already got it!!! And we will be playing the Bingo the Disney posted on Pinterest. :)

We are hoping to watch, well the kids and I are. DH seemed horrified when I suggested it, but hopefully he won't be too much of a grinch about it. Maybe we can get away with it for a few minutes at least.

I just hope Nick Cannon was too busy with his other projects and the kids to be there this year. He was not the greatest last year.

Does anyone know if the parade is going to be streamed anywhere online? Our local ABC station is in a contract dispute with DirecTV and we haven't had ABC in like 3 months.

I made it out to the taping for about 2 hours for Il Volo and Candice Glovers songs.I was near the front for Candice so I hope I get at least a second of air time.

I'd say that gigantic infomercial about FP+ and reserving your rides ahead of time is "marketing" to a large scale audience. :rolleyes1 If only they would have expanded it to explain that you get 3 per day at one park and you can't schedule all the headliners in 50% of their parks.

And did anyone notice the vintage footage of the the Yeti actually moving? :lmao:

We were able to catch most of the parade. (I turned on the TV in the kitchen while I fixed breakfast and we ate) and caught the beginning and end in the family room. I love the Infomercial,,,,,eh, I mean parade! And thought the incorporation of Darth Vader was cute. I didn't give a thought to FP+ blurbs since we know it's still being refined and the Yeti has even frozen in time for years. No surprises there.

After Christmas madness subsides, I'll focus on the materials Disney has sent to us in preparation of our upcoming trip. I did peak at our magic bands and can't wait to customize:wizard:.
