This is our first time visiting in high season, first time staying offsite...it's been great!
I booked my ADR 6 months out. I got all my FP+ 30 days out. The only unavailable one was A&E, which we saw standby at 10:30am on a Sunday with a 15 minute wait. We are a party of 7. Everyday got a 4th very desirable FP (space mtn, Everest, rnr coaster and test track).
A tip on booking 4th FP, split your party up, you can often get very close windows, even when you can't get what you want on the first try. For our party of seven I would get 3-4 then get the rest one by one. Cast members are extremely helpful as well!
So my advice...do rope drop, book your FP from mid morning to early pm, have fun...crowds are not bad at all! Three people in our group rode EE 9 times yesterday...
